i love this movie so much its like my death meal but instead of food its one movie

i really loved this movie as an astronomy lover & it was an incredible mix of emotion and suspense, at first i thought i wouldnt enjoy the ending because i wanted him to go back to earth, but i think its realistic that he stayed and probably brought earth’s knowledge to the eridions. though it felt like an open ending and it was up to viewer’s interpretation whether grace stayed or went back to earth after a while. also i loved sandra hüller in this she was iconic.

i loved this movie so much, marianne comparing herself and heloise to orpheus and eurydice was not slick.. also the ending scenes with marianne showing off her paintings and then showing that she saw heloise for the last time watching her favourite piece be performed and crying was perfect. i think the way the man described marianne’s piece as painting orpheus and eurydice as saying goodbye to eachother, compared to other depictions of them in paintings, was definitely a nod to how marianne and heloise said goodbye, on purpose.
