Airbnb is giving soccer fans a chance to secure tickets to the 2026 FIFA World Cup simply by booking select stays in tournament host cities.

The company announced that beginning June 10, guests can book eligible Airbnb listings that include free tickets to matches taking place in the city where they’re staying. The promotion covers several host cities across the United States, Canada, and Mexico and will run throughout the tournament.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is set to begin on June 11 at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City and will be the first tournament hosted across three countries. Airbnb says the offer is designed to help fans follow the competition while securing accommodations close to the action.

Select Airbnb stays include free World Cup tickets

Starting June 10, travelers can search for and book participating Airbnb homes in cities hosting knockout-stage matches, including Los Angeles, Boston, Monterrey, New York, Mexico City, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, Kansas City, and Dallas.

Eligible listings will display a soccer ball icon and a highlight at the top of the listing page indicating that free match tickets are included with the stay. Guests can select their travel dates, group size, and payment method before confirming their booking.

According to Airbnb, a ticket will be included for each guest listed on the reservation. After the booking is confirmed, hosts will provide additional details on how guests can access their tickets.

The company says participating homes average $385 per night and will be available during the dates matches are being played in each host city, including the knockout rounds and the tournament final.

“Airbnb hosts don’t just offer you a place to stay — they provide a more authentic way to experience a destination,” Airbnb said. “And this World Cup, they’re doing something extraordinary: helping fans follow their teams wherever the tournament takes them, with select homes including free tickets in every host city.”

Airbnb also confirmed that beginning July 16, fans will be able to book eligible stays tied to the World Cup Final at New York-New Jersey Stadium.

The promotion comes as World Cup ticket prices remain a major talking point ahead of the tournament. FIFA has faced backlash from fans and supporter groups over rising costs and its dynamic pricing model, with some resale listings reaching millions of dollars.
