Unfortunately, I’m back in the same position. Last time I was able to use the $600-ish that were donated in combination with working to afford the payment. This time I can’t pickup shifts unless there are call-outs and since many people need money, I can’t pick up any shifts. Everyday life essentials are crushing us as they cut my EBT and Medicaid. Working on a second job because one inconvenience will set me back so far, such as missing a week of work due to my child being sick. No childcare after 5P.

Through all of this, I’ve tried to teach my daughter patience and resilience. She’s a bright, caring 5-year-old, and I do my best to shield her from the stress of our situation while helping her understand the importance of honesty and strength. It’s heartbreaking not to be able to fully explain our struggles to her, but we face each day together, hoping for better times.

The most urgent need right now is covering our rent to avoid eviction and homelessness. I am behind on payments due to these ongoing challenges, and any support will go directly toward keeping a safe home for my daughter and me.
