In a recent interview with Belgian Trends Magazine, Frederico expressed confidence in the future of European industry. He highlighted that recently approved EU steel trade measures, including stricter import quotas and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (#CBAM), are important steps towards addressing global overcapacity and creating a more level playing field for European producers. At the same time, the effectiveness of these measures will depend on their implementation, enforcement, and the continued efforts to address remaining loopholes and circumvention risks.
