Denis Villeneuve never disappoints when it comes to philosophical sci-fi films. I was flabbergasted by Dune's sheer epic scale—its cinematography, visual effects, score, sound and production design. The story subtlety and themes like philosophy, politics, religion, ecology, and colonisation are what makes it all the more intriguing. Even though the film hasn't touched the utmost core of the Dune book series yet, every moment led up to the upcoming sequel is nothing less than a cinematic satisfaction.
