How It Works

1. 1Sign in with the Twitter account for your bot, using the button above.
2. 2Sign up for a free Twitter Developer account (we walk you through this).
3. 3Provide us with the generated API keys so that we can make your bot tweet.
4. 4Use our code editor to write a Tracery config that your bot will generate tweets from.
5. 5Press start for your bot to begin tweeting at your chosen frequency.

Is it free?

Basic functionality is free. There is the option to pay a small amount to use more server resources, such as to tweet more frequently. This project is only feasible if enough people are willing to chip in to help cover the costs.

How frequently can my bot tweet?

It can tweet as frequently as every 30 minutes and as infrequently as every 30 days.

Can I make my bot reply to mentions?

Not at this time.

Why do I have to generate my own API keys?

Twitter recently made changes to their API which impose a severe limit on the number of tweets an application can make per month across all users. This limit means we would only be able to support a handful of users. Instead, as a workaround, we are asking each user to generate their own API keys and provide those to us, so that each user can utilize their own tweet limit.

What permissions will you need?

We need permission to read your public account information and tweet on your behalf. In order for your bot to tweet, you will need to generate API keys and provide them to us (we walk you through this). The API keys only have permission to tweet. You can revoke our permissions at any time in your Twitter settings.
