We provide a wide range of services, including grain marketing, crop nutrients, crop protection, and agronomy services that assist in maximizing producers\u2019 operations. We focus on 4R Nutrient Stewardship to ensure sustainable and healthy crops, supporting safeguards for southwest Saskatchewan\u2019s diverse soils.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #5a4c44;\">Back in 1994, a group of area producers had a vision to create an inland grain terminal located on CP main line on the #1 hwy. The landscape of the prairies was drastically changing with wooden elevators closing and efficiencies being developed along the mainline. After 3 years of hard work, their dream came to life with South West Terminal. We opened our doors to producers on January 8, 1997. We became the first producer owned terminal in southwest Saskatchewan. As the years progressed, we believed there was an increasing need for crop protection and fertilizer services. So in 2000, Our first crop inputs location was built at the <a href=\"https:\/\/swt.ca\/about-us\/our-locations\/gull-lake\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gull Lake<\/a> site where the terminal is located. From there, we expanded our crop inputs services to <a href=\"https:\/\/swt.ca\/about-us\/our-locations\/hazenmore\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hazenmore<\/a> in 2003, <a href=\"https:\/\/swt.ca\/about-us\/our-locations\/cabri\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cabri<\/a> in 2009, <a href=\"https:\/\/swt.ca\/about-us\/our-locations\/shaunavon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shaunavon<\/a> in 2011, <a href=\"https:\/\/swt.ca\/about-us\/our-locations\/wymark\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wymark<\/a> in 2016, <a href=\"https:\/\/swt.ca\/about-us\/our-locations\/kyle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kyle<\/a> in 2019, and <a href=\"https:\/\/swt.ca\/about-us\/our-locations\/whitla\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Whitla<\/a> Alberta in 2024. When total capacity is reached, SWT will be able to fill over 600 rail cars with grain in store.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><div class=\"column-1_3 sc_column_item sc_column_item_2 even\">[vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h5>Shipping &amp; Receiving<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>\u2022 2 receiving legs, each with a capacity of 16,000 bushels per hour.<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Shipping leg rated at more than 62,000 bushels per hour.<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 2 bulk scales (one for receiving and one for load-out).<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 3 x 85, 000 foot (approximately 420 cars) located on the CP main line.<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Loading time of 3.5 minutes per rail car.<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Grain cleaning capacity of 115 tonnes per hour.<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Shuttlewagon on site to move cars around.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text]<div class=\"sc_line sc_line_style_solid\" style=\"border-top-style:solid;\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"column-1_3 sc_column_item sc_column_item_3 odd\">[vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h5>Construction<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>\u2022 The plant consists of a total of 3.5 million tonnes of concrete.<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 1.1 million pounds of rebar.<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 340,000 lbs.
