I have been presenting at national and international events and conferences for over 15 years, delivering talks both in person and virtually. My focus is on the importance of accessibility across all industries and why universal design benefits everyone.
What makes my talks unique
I deliver presentations using different communication methods depending on the event and audience:
- American Sign Language (my fifth language) with voice interpretation into spoken English (my third language)
- Typing in English with someone voicing my typing
- Voicing in English while projecting text on screen
About my talks
- Rooted in 25+ years of professional expertise in design, technology, and accessibility, combined with my lived experience as a profoundly deaf person.
- Attendees receive access to information through audio and captions — making the content more accessible for everyone, not just those who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- I provide a unique, firsthand perspective on accessibility for the world’s largest and often overlooked minority — people with disabilities — and explain why early investment in accessibility boosts your business’s bottom line.
