IP Anonymization<\/h4>\n\n

Since version 2.0 it's possible to anonymize the IP of your visitor, which is required by law in some countries.<\/p>\n\n\n

  1. Upload smntcs-google-analytics<\/code> to the \/wp-content\/plugins\/<\/code> directory<\/li>\n
  2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins<\/code> menu in WordPress<\/li>\n
  3. Go to https:\/\/www.google.com\/analytics\/, add a new site and copy the tracking code<\/li>\n
  4. Go to Appearance \u2192 Customize \u2192 Google Analytics<\/code> and paste your tracking code<\/li>\n
  5. Anonymize visitors IP address if necessary<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

    Why am I not able to save the verification code?<\/h3><\/dt>\n

    This issue might be caused by a security plugin. If you use a security plugin, e.g. Wordfence, then disable it so save your verification code and activate it once you\u2019re done.<\/p><\/dd>\n\n<\/dl>\n\n\n
