The lovely modueser just sent me a heads up about the Alphas airdate: SyFy has announced Monday, July 11 as the start date for Alphas. Show airs at 10 p.m. on the east coast.

On an unrelated note, the suspect tracker at the AMC site for The Killing is driving me nuts. Of course, Callum's character is one of the top suspects, for no other reason that he is 'creepy' and 'always plays the bad guy'. *massive eyeroll* Oh, and there are a few people who don't believe he's the killer - because he's 'too old' and 'frail looking'. WTF PEOPLE WTF???

ETA: There's one thing though that got me thinking: Callum's role in The Killing was a last minute re-cast, he replaced Chad Willett. I wonder why...

Hi flist! I'm sorry I haven't updated in weeks, since it's horribly quiet in Callum-land - fingers crossed we'll hear of new projects soon. It has been hinted at that Dennys Ilic has a 'shoot' coming up with Callum, but I have no idea if this is a photoshoot or a movie project (DI's latest movie involvement is, according to imdb, a movie about a serial killer (*eyeroll* XD), BUT, to prevent potential fangirl harakiri, it's an Australian production and no casting information is available yet... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1418754/ )

ION, I'm still trying to figure out how much it would cost me to import the 'Faith, Fraud & Minimum Wage' DVD from South Africa. This year's highlights:

* Shattered! Such a well written and stellarly acted show that exceeded my expectations by far! CKR's portrayal of someone haunted by his past and suffering from DID is just superb. \o/ Still crossing everything crossable for a second season.

* Canada vacation! I'm still thinking fondly of this and wished I could go back soon. It's a beautiful country, and the people I met were laid-back and friendly, and seemed to care about having a responsible, good life. (Not so great: A/C everywhere, even in mild weather. I felt like a shrivelled up raisin after some time. And I won't start about the beer...)

* dSSS! I'm halfway through with reading and looking, and I'm just amazed by the creativity and love that was poured into all these fanworks. Among my personal highlights so far are: 'Pas De Deux', 'Zugunruhe', 'Detective Raymond Vecchio's Protection by the Consulate of the Great Nation of Canada: An Illustrated Report by Constable Renfield Turnbull', 'Sui Generis', 'Out Of Nowhere', 'Six Hours That Change Nothing', and of course my wonderful gift fic 'Outer Space Is A Lovely Place'! * c6d fandom! I came into this fandom via discovering CKR on BSG in the summer of 2009, lurked and squeed a bit along the sidelines. * fangirl meet-ups! XD). In fall, the lovely roadrunner1896 and tyrella_2008 came over for a visit, and I'm just hoping we'll have another, longer gathering next year. :D

First thing I did today after getting up: hopping over to the dSSS collection and squeeing and flailing over the awesomeness! So far I was only able to look at the AMAZING artworks, but I decided to put the entire fic collection on my eReader. AND GUESS WHAT: I'M HAVING NEXT WEEK OFF! Good thing we had to stay home over Christmas, because we're completely snowed in (20 cm, I guess?).

* Shattered episode 'She Had You Fooled' will be airing December 31st at 7pm on Showcase! Thanks to the lovely modueser for the heads up.

* Did a little research, and Shattered is now in fact airing in 13 countries: Italy, Greece, Russia, Romania, Japan, Poland, France, Spain, SE Asia, Australia, UK, South Africa, and soon Germany! So, I'm optimistic again about a second season. If it does well in these countries its failure in Canada might be irrelevant. Right?
