Environmental quality, beautiful landscapes, remarkable trips are reasons for why we practice outdoor sports. As participants that are on practice sites throughout the year we can help manage the areas and inform authorities about existing problems.
Suricate allows you to report problems that you have encountered during your outdoor sport or recreational activities.
A mistake with trail markings, a broken sign, pollution, security needs and conflicts with land owners or other participants… Locate yourself and report, through this application, the problem with your description, one or more photos.
Your observations will be treated by outdoor sports federations and local authorities in contact with the French National Resource Center of Outdoor Sports and the French Sports Ministry.
You will be informed about the follow-up taken about your observations.
Suricate is open to all of us, despite our activity or level of practice. Join the group of Outdoor Sports Sentinels to preserve the quality of our sites, areas, and practice spots.
MANAGED DEVELOPMENT OF OUTDOOR SPORTS
During the last ten years the French minister of sports, outdoor sports federations, and general council direct active policies towards a managed development of outdoor sports. This politic allows the development of activities that respect their natural environments.
Suricate’s goals:
• make an inventory of problems encountered in areas where outdoor sports and recreations take place
• to share information related to understanding and solving problems
• to evaluate and optimize politics for a managed development of outdoor sports benefitting the most people possible
