DPO (Direct Post Office) Integration

Towing companies are often required to notify vehicle owners and lienholders that their vehicle has been impounded and is accruing charges.
Instead of heading to the post office to handle this, take care of it all from your computer in Towbook via ADD’s DirectPost-Office (DPO) solution.

DPO is a certified mail service with a suite of letter and form tools designed to help towing companies easily create, send, and track state-required documents from one simple online platform.
Mailing records including tracking numbers and delivery confirmation are available in ADD to reference as needed.

How it works in Towbook

Towbook customers using the DPO integration, can mail out any of their letters in Towbook to the owners or lienholders listed in the call.

Not sure who to notify? No problem.

Use ADD’s NMVTIS search to determine last state of title.

Use ADD’s DMV123 search to determine owners and lienholders.

From there, use DPO as explained above to mail notification to any necessary parties. Combining these tools within Towbook allows you to access reliable information, streamline your notification processes and improve the quality and efficiency of your usage of Towbook.

These letters can be mailed out via the Tasks or Letters section under any impound in Towbook.

Select an impound and look at the letters or tasks section. The Send option is available in both sections:

Select Send, and preview the letter. If everything looks good, select your recipients, letter type, and mail date, and send your letter out for mailing without ever leaving your office.

Connecting to ADD123 with Towbook as a Manager:

  1. Click on the “Settings” tab.
  2. Select “Impounds”.
  3. Click on “AutoDataDirect Integration” and connect there.

Connecting to ADD123 with Towbook as a Dispatcher:

  1. Click on the “Impounds” tab.
  2. Click on any impound to enter the impound details page.
  3. Select the button to “Connect to ADD123”.
  4. Once connected, the button will change to say “Import from DMV123”.
