ERROR MSG: SqlError Execution of .NET Framework code is disabled. EzParts Installation

Problem:

During installation of EzParts ver. 5.0 on the machine with 64-bit operating system, the following error message appears: "System.Data.SqlClient.SqlError: Execution of .NET Framework code is disabled. Set "clr enabled" configuration option and restart the server".

Solution:

If you have Windows Vista OS, please, follow the steps below:

1. Insert the first EzParts disk into the DVD-ROM drive.
2. Open the soft folder on the disk.
3. Double click the SQL Server 2005 Management Studio Express.msi file to install Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express.
4. After you install the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express, go to the Start menu -> Programs -> MS SQL Server 2005 -> SQL Server Management Studio Express.
5. On the Connect to Server window select SERVER_NAME\EZPARTS5 from the Server name drop-down list.
6. Select Windows Authentication mode from the Authentication drop-down list and click Connect.
7. Click the New Query button on the main toolbar. The new query window will be opened.
8. Paste the following text into the new query window:

EXEC sp_configure 'show advanced options', 1
RECONFIGURE
EXEC sp_configure 'clr enabled', 1;
RECONFIGURE WITH OVERRIDE;

9. On the Query menu, click Execute.
10. Do not close SQL Server Management Studio Express. Run EzParts 5.0 installation and select the Simple Mode of installation.
