Luckily there are some tools in the ECG Editor for\u00a0handling these situations efficiently.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<span class=\"consel_content consel_name_app consel_sel_app_three_one\">\n<h2>Delete All Points Between X Cursors<\/h2>\n<p>There are 2 blue vertical lines on the screen called the X Cursors. These cursors can be used to define a <strong>time span<\/strong>\u00a0in which to remove all instances of R Peak markers. In addition, the peak detector has falsely identified peaks in the noise as R peaks which need to be removed. Using your mouse to grab and drag the X cursors, place one of them on either side of the noise. However it is obvious which of these are actual R peaks, and which are not. The Y cursors should now be positioned\u00a0so that all erroneously marked R peaks fall between them. <em>Be careful not to set your high Y cursor too high, or you will accidentally delete good R peaks too.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Once the cursors have been positioned, press the\u00a0<strong>Delete All Pts Between Y Cursors<\/strong> button to remove them all.<\/p>\n<p><a <strong>time<\/strong> range in which to delete\u00a0points, and\u00a0green\u00a0horizontal &#8220;Y Cursors&#8221; used to select an\u00a0<strong>amplitude<\/strong> range.<\/p>\n<p><a ways to use these cursors, which can be toggled by different combinations of <strong>Ctrl<\/strong> and <strong>Shift<\/strong> hotkeys.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By default, they will operate on the signal between the cursors, as indicated by the <strong>&gt;&gt; &lt;&lt;\u00a0<\/strong>symbols.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a for a 30-second contiguous R peak series<\/a> when calculating RSA, points will need to be identified or estimated when making the above edit when using the HRV application.<\/p>\n<p>Because of this rule, a common use for deleting with X cursors during HRV analysis would be to remove all R peaks from the beginning\/end of a segment.
