A guide on how to connect a MindWare configured router to your computer and configure BioLab settings to utilize the connection between the router and computer.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Connecting the Router to the Computer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Gather the necessary materials: a MindWare configured router<\/strong>, an open ethernet port<\/strong> on your computer\/laptop, and an ethernet cable<\/strong>.\"\"

  2. Inspect your router<\/strong>, ensure there is a power cable<\/strong> and a note detailing the router\u2019s information. Remove the items from the box and please store the detail slip in a safe location for future reference.

  3. Plug the power cable<\/strong> into an outlet as well as into the power input on the router<\/strong> to power on the router. The solid blue PWR LED should turn on.\"\"

  4. Plug the ethernet cable<\/strong> into the router<\/strong> and an open port<\/strong> on the computer. Please note that the ethernet cable<\/strong> MUST be plugged into a LAN port on the router<\/strong>. These ports are labeled 2-4. If both the router and computer are turned on, A flashing green LED should appear on the port where the ethernet cable<\/strong> is connected (located above PWR LED).\"\"<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Configuring BioLab for Wireless Acquisition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    1. Open the BioLab application. If the Network Device Detection<\/strong> window does not appear, select Acquisition Source<\/strong> and set to ‘Ambulatory Wi-Fi’.\"\"

    2. On the Network Device Detection<\/strong> window, if the Select IP Address<\/strong> window does not appear, select Settings<\/strong> > Change IP Address\u2026<\/strong>, and a warning window explaining that BioLab will need to be restarted will appear. Press ‘OK’ to close the warning window. Click the drop down arrow<\/strong> and select the IP Address<\/strong>: ‘192.168.88.XXX’ and select the OK<\/strong> button. \"\"

    3. Restart BioLab. Select the Cancel<\/strong> button on the Network Device Detection<\/strong> window, this will open the BioLab Configuration<\/strong> window. Select the Exit<\/strong> button and reopen the BioLab application.

      Additional Information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      You\u2019re finished! The Network Device Detection<\/strong> window will open again and you will be able to connect to MindWare Mobiles that are wirelessly connected to the router<\/strong>. Please note that a Mobile must first be set to ‘Discovery Mode’ before BioLab can detect the unit.
