LC in "Rooms" 1975

Lewis played Pete in an episode of Rooms titled "Reg". Reg is an older man and he and Pete really got up each other's noses.

Pete comes out of the bathroom, but is told off by Reg who doesn't want to see his naked body.

Pete has invited the girls from upstairs for a bit of a party.
....

....

Of course there is loud music and dancing...
....

...so, Reg, in the next door room, starts playing a Military Band record, very loudly.

Pete finally has his girl to himself.
....

A kiss goodnight outside his door, only to have Reg tell them this is a boarding house not a knocking shop.
....

Pete taking his time admiring himself in the bathroom mirror.
....

Pete arranging a party, but, of course, Reg wants to use the phone.

The party is in full swing, with Pete doing his party piece.

The noise has really sent poor Reg over the edge.
....

Martin was in the first episode of Strike 'The Cuckoo's Calling', which is the first of a trilogy written by J K Rowling as Robert Galbraith. He doesn't appear in it very much, he just had a cameo role playing a lawyer, Tony Landry, a rather nasty one, and did it very well.

I can't use Photo Bucket any more - rotten sods want a fortune to third party host, so I am experimenting with LJ's Scrapbook. Hope I can work it right. *bg*

Lewis Collins in 1986

Lewis was appearing in a play called "Death Trap" in Perth Western Australia in late 1986 and while he was there he was asked, as a celebrity, to appear on the annual telethon. This is on YouTube in four parts, part 1 is here: https://youtu.be/MGta6O_sVZw
It's from an old tape so screencaps not very good.

Gordon Jackson in "A Town Like Alice" (1981)

Gordon Jackson plays a solicitor, Noel Strachan, in this mini-series. I have been searching for DVDs of this for years and finally found it, although it seems to be made from video tape; very disappointing. The whole story is very engrossing though and our Gordon plays a big part in it. From the beginning, when we see him called to an elderly man's house to make his Will, through to years later when he meets young Jean Paget, played by Helen Morse, who is the beneficiary of her Uncle's will. The middle part of the series goes back to WW11, and Jean is living in Malaya where the English lived the high life on rubber plantations. Then the Japanese invaded. The men were taken as POWs to work for them and the women and children were sent off to a non-existent women's compound, so they spent years walking from one place to another. In their wanders, Jean met with an Australian POW, Joe Harmon, played by Bryan Brown. The last part of the series is about Jean and Joe meeting again in Australia.

Anyway, this is Noel Strachan working his wiles on the old Uncle, who thought women couldn't inherit money until they were at least 40 years old. Noel talked round to making it 35 years, with Noel as the administrator to give the money to Jean when he decided.

Noel meets Jean after the War and is very taken with her.

He is very pleased when he talks Jean into going to the opera with him. (Shades of Look After Annie).

Jean decides to take Noel ice skating, with hilarious results.

Gordon Jackson in "Kidnapped" (1971)

I bought this DVD from Network because it said that Gordon Jackson was in it. He plays Charles Stewart, which wasn't a big part; he didn't appear until about three-quarters of the way through the film. Thought you might like to see him with a full head of hair.

Love his wig! Maybe I should have entered a pic of him in Drayce's Weekly Challenge, which was 'Hair'.

I have felt so sad all day thinking about Eriko and the hell she had gone through over the last couple of years. Although, on reading her journal, she was very upbeat about her treatment and managed to do some wonderful drawings all through it. Here is a drawing she did for me when I was in hospital in April, 2014.

Farewell Eriko. We miss you.

A big thankyou to a wonderful friend who sent me the remastered DVDs of Series 2 of Warship, in which our Lewis plays Leading Seaman Steele in the episode Away Seaboat's Crew.

The only copy I had of this episode was I don't know how many times copied tape.

When it was announced last year that the next season of Inspector George Gently would be set in 1969,

I wondered if he would meet up with Dr. Huw Evans from Doctor in the House filmed in 1969.

Well, of course they could not actually meet, but...
this happened.

Private Madness Public Danger - Part 2

Old habits die hard, and I did waay too many caps, and then realised that everyone knows the plot of this episode, but I found a sub-plot. Oh yes! Love and betrayal, cheating on a lover. Tsk! Tsk! But more of that later.

Late seventies fashion and high tech stuff. Love the patchy denim dress and the beads, the Solid State radio and that alarm clock, which really woke you up with a horribly loud bell.

Ray has to get close to Bodie and touch him.

Tells some wild story then rushes off, leaving Bodie quite bewildered.

OMG! Doyle's off on the prowl in some sleazy joint, looking for a pickup, and it looks as if he's found one. Benny!?

Doyle is all over Benny, checking out the goods. Benny's not happy as someone might see them.

Bodie goes to Cowley for advice. "I think Ray is cheating on me, Sir." Oh dear, that Bodie pout!

Cowley is not happy with Doyle and tells him that Bodie is worried that Ray is going to leave him.

It is back to work and Bodie gets a bit too enthusiastic when pushing Cowley to safety.

Bodie sees the funny side and levers himself up on Doyle, who is trying to step over Cowley.

Ray is worried about Bodie now, but Bodie gives him such a sweet smile, with a "Come on in. The waters fine".

That dunking in the lake must have made Ray see the error of his ways and Bodie must have forgiven him. Ray leaning on Bodie, then Bodie leaning, very suggestively, on Ray.

The Lads are well and truly frozen, but Cowley gets out his flask for them.

Cowley gives Ray a right bullocking and won't let him have more than a sip of the Scotch, because Ray upset Bodie.

I was marvelling at Bodie's lovely trim waistline in Killer With a Long Arm, then noticed his distinct bulge in this episode.

I seem to have forgot how to do this, plus the fact that I had to change to Windows7 from XP 'cause my harddrive died. Am rather confuddled to say the least.

Oh well, I seem to have recovered from my last operation, although I now have lymphodema in my left foot and leg, for which I have to wear a full length special stocking. But I have survived with no trace that the melanoma has spread, which is a big YEAH!!

I have watched all my new Season 1 Pros vids and have now started to do some screencaps, Heroes this time.
