Accident Injuries?

It will cost you nothing to hire me to represent you.  Injury attorneys work on a "contingency fee" basis, meaning that you only pay me a fee when we are successful in resolving your claim.  The typical fee is 1/3 of what is recovered for you.

Auto accident injury attorneys operate off of the same contract, which has been approved by the Florida Supreme Court.  This is the precise language found in the standard contract:
“This contract may be cancelled by written notification to the attorney at any time within 3 business days of the date the contract was signed, as shown below, and if cancelled the client shall not be obligated to pay any fees to the attorney for the work performed during that time. If the attorney has advanced funds to others in representation of the client, the attorney is entitled to be reimbursed for such amounts as the attorney has reasonably advanced on behalf of the client.”

The best (and honest) answer to this is that every case is different.  I have seen many attorneys advertise how quickly they'll get a case settled, which is a terrible approach with most cases.  These are some of the factors that will affect how long a case takes to resolve:

1. The amount of insurance coverage available to pursue;
2. The nature of the injuries;
3. Whether or not a fair "pre-suit" offer is made.  If a lawsuit is necessary, then cases can take considerably longer; and
4. The extent of treatment.

Rather than rush cases through like an assembly line, I realize that each client gets "one bite at the apple."  While some cases can be resolved in a few months, other can take a year or longer if a full blown jury trial is required.  During the Free Consultation I offer, the timing of your unique case will be discussed.

To be candid, this is not a frequently asked question.  However, it should be!  There are many firms that just want to settle every case for the best offer they can get and then make room for more cases.  That is not how my firm operates!  On average, up to 40% of my cases are "in litigation," meaning I have filed a lawsuit because my client received an unfair offer.  Whomever you hire (even if it is not me), PLEASE, be sure you are hiring a real trial attorney that goes to Court!

Absolutely!  I do not pawn cases off to junior associates or, worse yet, let a paralegal handle the whole thing (you would be amazed how many law firms do this).  I am involved in every single case and get to know my clients.  Many past clients stop by our office from time to time to say "hello" to my staff and me, as they had become our friends when we handled their case.
