I started lay-away for Dylan (Fairyland Minifee Seorin) on August 5th and finished paying him off on August 24th! He got to come home with me on the 5th because I was doing his previous owner a big favour ^^
I ordered placed an order with Resinsoul on August 1st, and started lay-away with them as well. My order consists of:
- Mei on Rong's body w/ face-up
- double-jointed girl body, slightly larger chest size, body will come with Rong's hands
- Song w/ face-up
- single-jointed boy body, poses a little better & supposedly stands better, body will come with Song's hands
- high-heel feet (for Mei)
- Ming Hands (for Song)
- Mai hands (for Song)
My little elf girl is gonna be quite the chameleon, and she'll likely end up with a blog of her own - although I don't know if it'll be here or on Blogspot. I have a feeling I'll stick with LJ because I love userpics, and I know she will too. Wish I could tackle making a custom moodpack with her...but her facial expression doesn't exactly change and I'm not that talented with Photoshop.
The elf boy, on the other hand, will probably stick to a goth/punk/rocker look and the occasional fantasy/elven look. I plan to get a bow and some arrows made for him, and I'm gonna try and fashion a quiver for him as well.
I think I know what the boy's name is already...the girl on the other hand, not so much. I suspect she'll tell me when she gets here. I've got a whole huge long list of names written out, but I've no idea which one will actually suit her.

Not only is the homework piling up like nothing else, but I'm getting extremely discouraged with trying to sell my chainmail jewellery.
( Rant below the cutCollapse )
Seriously, what the hell am I doing wrong?
tl;dr version: Go to my shop on Etsy, buy some jewellery, and make my day.

I feel like my journal needs a biiiig revamp...
I still love the colours, but I'd like to use more than just black & red. Maybe I'll go to all-black and use some purple, red, and lime green. That'd make me happy. xD Oh, and some white.
I'm also not as hugely Spike-obsessed as I used to be, so I may stop using so many Spike-y icons and start using more relevant ones...
More of my other loves need to be more involved: - more chainmail - more alternative fashion (goth, punk, steampunk, etc.) - more nerdiness (more Star Wars, Firefly, Babylon 5, Hitchhiker's Guide, etc.) - more games (Portal/Portal 2, Minecraft, Nintendo) - more LEGO

I'm playing with my Wacom Bamboo tablet. I'm using the Tablet PC input panel, so I'm actually handwriting this. I'm bored and trying to avoid doing homework. I have something like three papers to write in the next 3-4 weeks, and I'm really struggling with two of them.
One is for English, and I don't know which topic to pick. One is for Psych, and I have to watch Casablanca again. And the third is for Anthropology-I haven't even picked my tapir yet I and it's the first one due...
Dad also reminded me I have to update my wishlist, and he wants to help me sync my Blackberry with my PC.
Anyway, I'll stop boring you now.

1:23pm - worked my way out of the cavern, built two cobblestone staircases to try and make more room in my inventory. Gonna build s'more storage chests on my little island now, to hold all this cobblestone
1:53pm - Set up 2 more large chests, one for cobblestone and the other left empty. Also set up 2 more furnaces, figure I'm gonna go sand-collecting for a glass collection at some point
2:00pm - Annoyed that I missed my world's first thunderstorm yesterday, it sure sounded scary from inside the cavern. Since I got back to the surface, it's rained twice.
Still don't know what to do with my massive cobblestone collection. I was thinking about building a Decepticon logo on the side of a mountain...would need to build an Autobot one as well.
Have quit for the day, was going to go back into the cavern, but I really don't feel like getting lost again. Must find a more organized way to mark my paths around the stupid cavern

| OMG - Ore-finding update |
[11 Jun 2011|07:10pm] |
Approx. 5:30pm - I just found my first block of redstone ore! Also found a TON of coal ore, a little iron ore, and two blocks of diamond ore!
5:53pm - about to stumble across at least one more block of diamond and redstone!
6:00pm - I just made obsidian! Found Lapis Lazuli
6:33pm - I now have 33 pieces of lapis lazuli, 71 piles of redstone dust, and not enough room in my inventory for anything else. That, and I'm freaking LOST in this bloody cavern
6:45pm - I hear thunder. Way down in teh bottom of this cavern. I'm TERRIFIED. And even worse, it echoes!
7:09pm - I'm SO fed up with this. No room left in my inventory, I'm just gonna save and quit, work my way out later

Ah, it's so funny the influence our significant others have on us xD
My boyfriend started playing Minecraft earlier this year. I'd sit on the phone with him while he explored his world, wishing I were able to see or at least play at the same time. My 6-year old laptop didn't have enough horsepower to run Minecraft, so I was stuck waiting until dad and I built my new computer!
I've now had my beautiful new machine about 3 weeks, started Minecrafting about a week after I built it. My world's already up to about 12 MB, but I keep getting lost or stuck, and end up going in circles in the same stupid, deep cavern.
I've tried several different map-making applications, and they just don't seem to work. I've built several "wood plank" towers with torches on top, to mark where my "things" are (mostly natural structures, cool springs, stone quarry, a pumpkin patch, etc.) The only problem is following the coastline isn't all that efficient.
At the moment I'm stuck in a very deep hole in the ground between two waterfalls, and I can't find my way out. It's really frustrating, and I'm rather fed up with it for the time being. Oh well, maybe when I go visit the boy he can help xD

If you were going on a week-long vacation to a tropical paradise and could only take five items, what would you bring?
Tropical paradise for a week, hmm...
Book, mp3 player, camera, bathing suit, sunscreen
It's hot, and I assume I'd be sitting on a beach all day throwing back fruity cocktails and working on my tan xD

What's the origin of your username? If you could change it to anything else, would you, and what would it be?
My username comes from way back in 2002 (also knows as Grade 8). I got really obsessed with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and had a mad crush on Spike. I took the old "sugar and spice and everything nice, that's what little girls are made of" and twisted it to "Sugar and Spike".
The 613 is simply my favourite numbers, 6 and 13.

IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?
So, here's how it works: 1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc.) 2. Put it on shuffle 3. Press play 4. For every question, type the song that's playing 5. When you go to a new question, press the next button 6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool
Opening Credits: Dance Ballerina Dance - Nat King Cole (w.t.f. I've never been a ballerina) Falling in Love: I Don't Know How to Love Him - Jesus Christ Superstar Soundtrack Breaking Up: Parabola - Tool Prom: If This Is Austin - artist unknown Life's OK: Lets Spend the Night Together - Rolling Stones Mental Breakdown: Hard-Headed Woman - Cat Stevens Driving: The Red Strokes - Garth Brooks Getting Back Together: Frozen Night - Jason Mitchell Birth of Child: Jesus of Suburbia - Green Day (what...the..fuck. xD) Wedding Scene: How Deep is Your Love - Bee Gees (not bad, not bad) Final Battle: Long Time - James Marsters (innnnnteresting. This song would be way better for the opening credits) Death Scene: The Bird - Dodge Funeral Scene: Not for Me - Backstreet Boys (w.t.f) End Credits: Whole Lotta Rosie - AC/DC

This officially makes the most fucked up soundtrack EVER. The only ones that make sense are "Mental Breakdown" and "Birth of a Child". None of the others make any sense at all.
I am very tempted to cheat and re-arrange them.

So, it started snowing at about 4pm today.. It's 10:55 now, and there's probably half-a-foot of snow on the ground!!
I haven't seen this much snow in ages. I'm SO excited.
Only problem is that I need to go out dress shopping tomorrow, (winter formal is on the 6th), and parents won't be too keen on driving with all this snow on the ground D:
But, they'll probably bring the plows out tomorrow, so we may still be able to go after all.
