After 40 years together, Alan Rickman and Rima Horton are officially husband and wife.
The longtime couple tied the knot three years ago in a secret ceremony, his rep confirms to PEOPLE.
"We are married, just recently," the Harry Potter star, 69, revealed in an interview with Germany's Bild newspaper. "It was great because no one was there. After the wedding in New York, we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and ate lunch."
According to the paper, Rickman presented his new wife, 68, with a simple $200 band that "she never wears," he said.
The actor is currently promoting A Little Chaos, a film he both directed and starred in.
