H0018 prevents local governments from imposing any requirements to install or maintain EV charging stations or parking spaces at their facilities.
Just as local governments cannot require installation or maintenance of gasoline or diesel filling stations or parking spaces at facilities, local governments should not require this for EV charging stations or parking spaces.
Such requirements for EVs are part of the "woke green agenda," which has no business doing business in Idaho. If Oregon and California want to do it, that's their prerogative, and they've exercised it to the detriment of their taxpayers (see Oregon examples in Selected References).
In Idaho, however, we must let markets — not bureaucrats and politicians — decide when and where to add charging stations and parking spaces for EVs. Let private entities make such decisions at their level, where such decisions belong.
