Lesléa Newman’s books include two memoirs-in-verse, I CARRY MY MOTHER and I WISH MY FATHER, and the picture books, THE BABKA SISTERS, and JOYFUL SONG: A NAMING STORY. She has received two National Jewish Book Awards, and the Sydney Taylor Award.
