The Study Australia App helps institutions support and engage international students with information for studying in a new country and city. Through the app, institutions can create modules on topics such as pre-departure and orientation information, city safety and accommodation advice. The app also includes a messaging function for institutions to contact students providing institutions with a dedicated contact point outside of email or blackboard-style website. With direct and cost-effective access to students through their smart phones, this function helps to address one of the major problems institutions have in quickly and effectively relaying information to their students. This is especially useful in case of an emergency or class change, but can also be used for marketing purposes.
