Works great! I need a way to delete a key mapping on buttons. In some configs I don't want them to do anything and want to remove any key mappings to eliminate extraneous keypresses in the game.
Using it from day 1, have about 35 new in box of those sidewinders from a pc store that whent out of busines, can't game without it and still works great in windows 10, so happy with this software.

Can't get Strategic Engine to work with windows 10.
Indicates "Unable to open Strategic Engine". Used all compatible settings for all versions of Windows. Can you help?
I signed on here to leave this comment of thanks to the program author and to tip my hat to the other readers and writers who recognize how truly adaptable and flexible the Strategic Commander is.
I agree that if the person who wrote this software is Still around, please let use have a look at the source code to maintain it and maybe even add new and/or improved features. It has been a few years since the last update and I can think of a few things that I would love to see added/improved a little that would work wonders.

You saved my system, allowed me to upgrade to a new OS and make me look into the future with a smile. Really, I would have dropped anything in my computer system. Anything but my Strategic Commander which improves my gaming and feeling in 3D so much. MS betrayed us by not supporting their best peace of hardware ever, any more. And the strategic engine gave it back to us.
Btw. Please!! Consider publishing the source code of your engine. It's just... I am really afraid that anything bad could happen to you one day and that this great project could get lost that way.

had other utils to try and get my Stratigic commander to work, but it only landed in a box fading away.
