37. Books vs Series

Just been reading books that got adapted series, Dexter and Game of Thrones.

Isn't it amazing that the books cover soooo much more than the series itself?
People say that you should read the books first. But for me, I think it's a lot better to watch the series before reading the books. This way you got to see the differences without judging the characters and the writers!

I see people tend to read the books first and then bash about the episodes of the series that "how much wrong they got about it"
Come on! it could never ever be the same to put all the details in a scene. When you read the books first, you eventually build up an imaginary world as you continue reading and when you watch the series or the movies you immediately judge the scenes with the book and mostly just curse the writers/directors etc. :D it's so typical that it hurts!

This way it's almost impossible to be objective about the plot/turn of events.

So relax, watch the series first and then go and read the books. This way you can visualize the characters you love that you get accustomed to, the scenery, the relationships better and the scenes become more vivid with the words from the book. ^__^

34. Changes

So many little things happening in one's life in so little time. When I look back to my past, I realise I am really grateful for many things but also there are many details I would like to change. (what happened to LJ's editing page? I cannot "enter" to make a new paragraph?) Whatever.. I realise things have changed without my attempt to change them mostly. Just 10 years ago, I was 16 and actually full of energy. Now I am 26 and my mind is full of thoughts about work, school, family, money etc. No time to think and stop and do what your heart desires. Sometimes I see myself overthinking about details like what to do with the future, how to arrange the furniture, what to choose as masters degree and how to manage to pay the bills...... But these all are thoughts I must find answers for but not what my heart wants!! My soul wants to escape my body and travel the world.. Smell the flowers, walk on the beach, read a good book, dive into the music, taste different fruits etc. We are soooo trapped to live the life to earn money just to imagine those dreams about freedom! But they needed to be reality! Not just dreams...In this fucked up system I really really envy the life on the wild! I wish I was born as a wild life child. Living in open forest or in a jewel island I don't know. Just a place to live your life without money and without problems because of money. But since you are a city child, you know the fucking curse of the internet, modern gadgets, dreams of fancy houses and shit like that. It's an endless chain and you cannot escape. All you can do is spend your golden years to save money while working as fuck and if you're lucky you get a pay check when you're retired less than what you've spend while you were working and spend the rest of your life babysitting your grand children, waiting for death.. What a wonderful plan.. I am having so much fun typing this you know. Smiling at my future self thinking "you are fucked buddy, keep going".. Well..

I'm not that familiar with his personal life, not like that I was interested in J2's anyways, but people say it is the 1st time Matt mentioned his partner and admitted being a family publicly! So I am proud! Love you Matt ♥

27. Goodbye Chuck :'(

How many of you follow Chuck?? Yesterday I watched the 2 final episodes of the show and wow.. I burst into tears through the episodes and can't stop thinking what could be different if the show had continued. Still thinking..

I don't wanna give any spoilers but man.. I really love love love Zac, Yvonne and the gang and even Jeffster! Just watched the video that Zac and Yvonne recorded after shooting the final episode. Zac almost cried, could see the tears building up around his eyes, made me soooo melting, man.. Yvonne said she was all teary-eyed.. I wonder how many of those actors are so sincere like they are! The show had kinda cancelled rather than reaching its end, I believe. The ending was kinda sloppy, the writers wrote their best to wrap up the story but left us crying in front of the PC.. BECAUSE IT'S NOT FAIR FOR CHUCK AND SARAH!!!!!!
Oh boy..

21. spnland - The Apocalypse

Hey guys!

Some of you may remember, when I was in my old journal I used to participate in spnland's challenges in hellatus, which they call "The Apocalypse"

Once you sign up at spnland, you get to choose a team. This year you can choose Team Heaven, Hell or Hunter. I joined the Team Heaven. I don't know why but this year I didn't want to deal with Sam&Dean so I chose Heaven instead :) Our community is the_pearlygates

After you got sorted, you need to join your team's community and they will send you an invite (that's the only way to participate in the challenges). Also there are several sub-communities that you should join to see the different challenges. Like game, graphic, media and writing communities. Each one of them have different challenges according to the comm's type.

Each challenge will have points to gain. Once the challenge is over, the total points will be added up on your team's total. After the Apocalypse ends, the team with the higher points wins and they give LJ tokens and such to the winners as I remember. I'm only there to pass the time, since SPN is still my fave TV show :)

First challenge is making Team icons/signature tags. I already made mine ;)

You get 5 points for each graphic you make. But the ones you do for yourself doesn't count. You need to respond to the requests which other members posted.

OK I rambled enough :) You can go to spnland for more info, obviously :)

I wonder if there are any other comms like that??

Hey guys

Summer school is over finally. I assume that I passed the bio-mathematics class. the finals are not announced yet. It was hard for me because since high school, I know nothing about differentiation and limits and integral.

I was so dumb not to study them at all when I was in high school. I deliberately ran away and it chased me down until university and voila! Here again I was to face it

Anyways, lately I'm busy with finding a new house bigger than what we live in now. Because my mom will move in with us. it will be strange!!! Tomorrow evening she'll hop into the train and will be here on Friday morning. Since Emre will start to work in a new job, it will be good that mom's here to help me with the house. We can search together and hopefully find a good house that she likes.

PS. Pide is some sort of bread (you'll see in the vid, they're holding pide) Muslims love to eat when fasting on Ramadan. Bakeries bake it only in Ramadan. So, it is very special and deliciasos! :)) Most of the time there would be looong queues infront of the bakeries just to get that Pide :)) And it's worth it.

My friends, thanks so much for your help on . You know what it means to me since I cannot do anything financially right now ♥ And thanks to who posted my entry around to let it be known by others!

I got 3 v-gifts of help Japan as for now and I hope that it will increase until March 26. Because the "graphics comment thread" will be closed on that date. (if the community doesn't open up a new one). My goal for myself was at least 10$ if I could bid! Since I cannot, hope the count of my participation will reach up to 10$ so I will feel much useful ^_^ And of course the more is always better!

And as I surprise, I have a 2-month Paid Account now! Really don't know how that happened?! One of my friends could have sent it to me anonymously OR LiveJournal did it, I don't know! 1. Train - Hey, Soul Sister
This song has an immediate affect on my mood. It really doesn't matter how I feel, every time I hear this song, I feel completely on cloud 9. :D
Really don't know why and I haven't even memorized the lyrics but it's totally a mood trigger for me.

2. Pokémon theme song :D
I love Pokémon !! The theme song is just like oldies rock classics I think, when you listen to it with eyes closed and not thinking about Pikachu and Ash :D

3. Finley Quaye & William Orbit - Dice
The song has many memories which most of them are from different TV shows. But it has an affect on me like "Soul Sister" does. Also it's making me feel like sitting on my favorite couch with a hot coffee cup on my hand in a cold winter day ^____^ So comfy like that.

4. Melanie C. - Never Be The Same Again
This song is important for me because it reminds me J2 (Jensen/Jared). Every time I listen to it I can't stop grinning ♥___♥

So. I've been busy with all the shitty work that 2nd term could give to me. But magically some of them turned out to be nicer and I'm really grateful for that :) *phew*

I'm taking 2 classes in English and in both of them we are only 2 students! At first I thought the tutors will give us tornadoes just because we took the classes and they had to teach it just for 2 of us, but it didn't happen. Thank you God! ^_____^ Now we're having the classes at teachers' rooms, so that we don't occupy any classrooms. Because we moved the classes to different days of the week and GOT THE FRIDAYS OFF !!! The teachers suggested that for us (they are also a married couple) so it was beneficiary for both sides *winkwink*

One of them is Organic Chemistry and the other is Applied Biology. Both were on Fridays. But now so that we moved them to other days, I'm free on Fridays and this is not an easy thing to do at our faculty! But YAY for me! ^____^ They are like private lessons now. Even the teachers let us bring snacks and coffee :D ♥ I really love you Mr. and Mrs. Guven !!

Other than school talk, I started watching White Collar and guess what?? Matt Bomer is really a hottie! ♥ I know him from Chuck though, but in WC he looks moooore handsome and makes me drool ^___^

Also I started re-watching The X-Files from the beginning and it will be a looong run but I've really missed my Mulder and Scully ♥ I found some episode rips but they're not from the DVDs. Still searching though. I cannot finish the whole show with TV-ripped videos. Don't wanna jump on torrent downloads but maybe I may have to ..
