Pre-Construction Phase

  • Creating strategic plans for the project, creating a design, contract signing, deposit, securing permits, gathering bids for estimating home build, costs, color selections, make changes to selections, securing dig schedule date, open book estimating.

Construction Phase

  • From beginning to end during your build. A Framewalk will take place upon framing completion, jobsite visits are welcomed as the build progresses, quality checks done by Superintendents at each stage completion, open book invoicing & billing.

Post-Construction Phase

  • Construction ends and project turnover to the owner takes place.
  • Homeowner orientation will be scheduled, creating punch list, project documents & complete upon delivery meeting; upon punch list completion.
  • 1 year home builder limited warranty begins.

Mike Thorne, Matt Schuyler and their team at ST Custom Homes did an extraordinary job in building our new custom home in the Bozeman area. The project was delivered on time with an excellent quality of workmanship as well as few change orders while staying close to our budget. Building a home from 1,200 miles away is very challenging but the process ran smoothly as we utilized three-way conference calls with our architect, skyping, emailing and texting on a regular basis to ensure we were all on the same page. Consider handing over your life savings to a company to build your dream retirement home shortly after a pandemic and in the middle of a supply chain crisis. Seemed a bit nuts at the time, but we had a feeling about ST Homes. The feeling was proven to be true. This company was highly professional at every level of the organization from start to finish. Company owners Matt and Mike are very experienced and been in the business a long time. They have established, high quality sub contractors and suppliers who were on budget and on time. They were directed and scheduled by exceptional project managers such as Leslie and Caleb. Cerissa managed the office and specifically draws, lien releases and budget projections. She did a fantastic job and even helped when needed with alternative bids when labor supply was tight. At completion, ST assigns one member to work with the homeowners on punch list items. Andrew was extremely professional and a great representative of the company. At no time was there poor communication or lack of access to ST Homes. We took a risk in a tough economic time, however, the ST staff navigated these challenges and far exceeded expectations. We consider them friends. If you’re looking for a legitimate 5 star quality custom home builder, start here!

ST Homes provides a range of construction services including custom home building, general contracting, framing, remodels, new builds, and custom woodwork. Whether you’re planning a full custom home or updating an existing space, their team delivers quality craftsmanship tailored to your vision.

This depends! There are many variables that we have to take into account when planning your build timeline including location, permits, finish type, and budget. Our typical builds last anywhere from 8 months- 2 years. Interested in knowing more? Contact Us.

Let’s talk! We like to meet our prospective clients to learn about your project, understand your goals, timelines, budgets, and make sure that we are a good fit for you. 

ST Homes is based in Bozeman, Montana, and provides services throughout the Gallatin Valley and surrounding communities, including Bozeman, Belgrade, Manhattan, Three Forks, and Livingston.

We use a very defined and detailed prebuild process to bid your home. We call this process a PSA. During this time we work with you to build out scope of work, make selections on product/subs and build out timelines to ensure all expectations are met at the highest efficiency.

WE HAVE lots available!
