Structural Transformation and Economic Growth
The Structural Transformation and Economic Growth (STEG) programme, established in March 2020, aims to provide a better understanding of structural change, productivity, and growth in low- and middle-income countries.
STEG offers a competitive research grants scheme for projects related to structural transformation and growth. Since the launch of the initiative in 2020, STEG has awarded nearly 300 grants. STEG-funded projects have produced more than 20 refereed journal publications.
