Tariffs
Then what?!
President Trump signs order imposing tariffs on imports from Mexico, Canada and China.
Will these tariffs produce sharp spikes in the cost of gas, fruit & vegetables, manufactured goods?
And, if yes, what will the political fallout be?
More interesting what will the Democratic Party do? What SHOULD they do?
One school of thought says nothing. Let the public get mad and blame the Republicans.
Another thought is that Democrats should prepare people now and educate voters as to why the price of stuff is exploding.
My instinct says that Democrats need to find articulate leaders and spokespeople to tell voters why prices are rising.
Trump has mastered the art of e as Ray and sustain attack against Democrats and liberals. It was worked very well so far. Not sure why Democrats are not trying that approach.
