Scorekeeper App Update: Version 1.14.46 Rollout and Multi-Language Support

Yesterday we started the beginning the gradual rollout of Scorekeeper version 1.14.46.

In an effort to improve reliability and protect the player experience, we are executing a change in our release process by using "slower, safer releases". This means the update will be rolled out gradually over several days, instead of all at once, allowing us to catch and address any potential issues early.


This update includes laying groundwork for the new tablet designs, as well as a significant new feature:

Big Update: Multi-Language Support Now Live in the APA Scorekeeper App!


We're excited to share a game-changing update to the APA SK app — MULTI-language support is now available!
The app now fully supports translations in:
Spanish
Canadian French
Japanese
Simplified Chinese
This means players and operators in our growing international community (including the U.S., Canada, Japan, and more) can enjoy keeping score weekly in their preferred language — making the World's Largest Pool League even more accessible and inclusive.

Important note on how it works: If your device is set to one of these supported languages (or a closely related variant), the app will automatically display most content in that language. English remains the default fallback if your device's language isn't supported or doesn't match one of the new options. To manually switch languages at any time, head to the app's settings and select your preferred option — the interface updates right away!

Coming soon: These same translations will roll out to the APA Member Services App, giving better access to schedules, standings and scores.

Resolved - The "fix" we pushed out did not correct the performance issue. This issue was introduced with the new version of Scorekeeper that we released to Android users today. We had around 80k Android users update to version 1.14.44 and they were causing performance issues for everyone. We halted the rollout of this version of Scorekeeper and we blocked all the requests from this newest version. This relieved the pressure so that anyone still rocking the previous version, 1.14.43, will be able to keep score.

The blocked apps will only apply to Android users who's app updated today. We'll publish a new version tonight or tomorrow that will allow those 80k users to update again to a rebranded version of the previous app. So v1.14.43 and v1.14.45 will be the same release, we're just re-releasing it so the 80k users can use their apps again.

iOS users were unaffected by this because the iOS update has not been approved yet, so it wasn't deployed.
