Description

As part of our Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiative, we will be migrating the sub-components for Document Processing from the current Swiss infrastructure to our Infrastructure as Code provisioned infrastructure. The API and Processing will be down in the CH region during this time, while we move the database over and verify integrity. Use of the app will be restricted to DE tenants. Processing in DE will be unaffected. This migration concludes our multi-region and IaC initiatives. With IaC we take a significant step in improving our infrastructure management layer, assuring consistent, secure, and scalable infra with reduced maintenance effort, and pave the way for multi-region and multi-cloud. With our multi-region initiative, we enable clients to choose their data-residency and processing geography. We already welcome new customers in the DE region, and existing customers will remain in the CH region, but on IaC-provisioned infrastructure. After this migration, customers in the CH region will have to adjust the API endpoint used to connect to Parashift, as well as any firewall rules ("allow-listing", "whitelisting") they may have put in place. Both are simple changes, and there will be a generous period of backwards compatibility. Customers do not need to take action during or right after the migration.
