  • Miracle made by love

That year, a French officer who decided to stay after the First World War
because of his love for one Theresa from Zemun
and chocolate, brings the secret of making French chocolate,
thereby opening the chapter of the sweetest story and our chocolate history.

  • A well-mixed tradition

The second root of the origin of "Štark" is related to the year 1931, when
the Jewish Joint Stock Company founded the first steam bakery "Soko"
to produce bread and pastries, which, through integration, two decades
later grew into the biscuit, chocolate, and candy factory "Soko -Nada Štark".

  • The largest chocolate and candy factory in Yugoslavia

In the post-war period, our chocolate factory, in that time under the name
Nada Štark, established itself as one of the most famous Yugoslav
chocolate and candy factories. Already in 1960, it counts almost 500
employees and produces over 2,000 tons of sweets per year.

  • Merger with the biscuit factory "Soko",
and the new name "Soko - Nada Stark"

The factory merges with the First Steam Bakery ''Soko”, also from Zemun,
and changes its name to Soko — Nada Štark. 'That is how the Biscuit,
Chocolate, and Candy Factory "Soko-Nada Štark" was born, later Soko Štark,
the forerunner of today's modern factory.

  • The story continues at the new address

Along with the new name, a new sweet spot had to be found for the sweetened story
in town. The "New Factory" started operating in 1975 in Kumodraška Street in
Voždovac, from where even today, the most beautiful chocolate treats and favorite
sweets find their way to generations of all ages.

  • Change of name to joint-stock company "Štark"

The factory became a Joint Stock Company to produce confectionery
products "Soko-Nada Štark", Belgrade, shortened JSC "Štark".

  • Towards the future on the wave of the Atlantic

JSC "Štark" continues to be organizationally and strategically powerful as
part of the Atlantic Group, a leading regional company in the FMCG industry.

  • Increasingly strong in the market

A decade later, the company changed its name to "Atlantic Stark",
with the idea that with the change of its official name, it would continue
in new business ventures under the new name.

  • Love that lasts 100 years
