How did you try to "test" those widgets? I've had this exception before and what worked for me was File -> Invalidate Caches/RestartFile -> Invalidate Caches/Restart. 

You may try that, but you should know that all of the Local History will be deleted.

Edit: Downgrading from API 24 to API 23 also works.
