1. Information We Collect
“Personal Information” is any information that we can reasonably use to directly or indirectly identify you. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom (UK), Personal Information includes all Personal Data as defined under EEA and UK data protection laws.
a. Information Collected Automatically
Our site may automatically collect your domain name, IP address, browser version, operating system, the website you passed through to reach us, the time of visit, and the page(s) that were visited.
Cookies and other tracking technologies are also used when you visit our website(s). Please see section 3 for more details on our cookie collection and use.
Pixel tags, web beacons, clear GIFs, or other similar technologies may be used on some webpages you visit and emails that we send to you. These track the actions of users and email recipients, and compile statistics about website usage and response rates.
b. Information You Provide
We collect Personal Information that you provide, such as your name, email address, postal address, phone number, job title, organization, and other identifying information. We collect it when you register for an account, place an order, complete a survey, sign up for an event, and contact us. As described in greater detail below, this information will only be used to provide you with products or services you have requested, or additional information about the sites or its affiliates.
We may also store financial and banking information in connection with a donation, purchase, or subscription.
c. Information Received from 3rd Parties
We may collect Personal Information from third parties, including from other organizations, public databases, social media platforms, or marketing partners, in accordance with applicable law.
2. How We Use Your Information
a. Deliver our Services
We use your Personal Information to process your order, manage your online account, as well as to respond to your inquiry, complete a transaction for you, or fulfill other forms of customer service.
b. Marketing
Personal Information, such as your name, address, and other contact information, may be used for marketing and development purposes. Where required by applicable data protection laws, we will obtain your consent prior to sending you marketing communications. You can choose not to receive marketing emails from us by unsubscribing in any marketing email you receive from us.
c. Sharing Your Information
We may share your Personal Information with third parties whom we engage to process your Personal Information on our behalf for the purposes stated above. They help operate our website, deliver communications, process payments, and conduct analytics.
We will not sell any Personal Information that we have collected From time to time we allow reputable companies, whose products or services we feel may interest our email newsletter subscribers, to contact these subscribers using the addresses provided to us during the process of subscribing to Stanford Social Innovation Review’s print edition.
We may provide statistical usage data in the aggregate to our partners about how visitors use the sites. We may analyze our users’ demographics, interests, and behavior based on the information you provide to us upon registration, on order forms, as well as from our server log files or from surveys. We do this to better understand and serve our users. This research is compiled and analyzed on an aggregated basis, and we may share this aggregated data with advertisers or other businesses.

- Restrict or Object Processing: You may have the right to ask that we restrict or stop processing your Personal Information under certain conditions. This right applies when we are processing your Personal Information based on a legitimate interest (or those of a third party), which you may challenge if you feel it impacts your fundamental rights and freedoms. You also have the right to object where we are processing your Personal Information for direct marketing purposes. 6. International Transfer of Personal Information

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we keep your Personal Information for as long as needed to fulfill the particular purpose for which it was collected and in accordance with this Notice. We may also retain your Personal Information if legally required or to fulfill a legitimate interest or another lawful basis for retaining the information beyond the period which is necessary, including a legal action. If the legal basis is based solely on consent, we will delete the Personal Information once consent is withdrawn.

Our website and services contain links to other third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such third-party sites. We take the security of your Personal Information seriously.
