Antenatal and Postnatal Care Resource Portal
The WHO/HRP online resource portal for antenatal care (ANC) holds relevant evidence and tools related to the WHO’s ANC recommendations, including the qualitative and quantitative evidence-base, and tools and documents to support country adaptation and implementation. In the future it will serve as launching platform for the ANC Smart guidelines and will be updated as new resources become available. The portal’s goal is to increase access to ANC related-evidence (for policy-makers, health workers, and women) and will be a key link between these users and SRH’s Living guideline approach.
Fetal Growth and Birth Weight Quantile Calculator
The Fetal Growth parameters online calculator is based on the World Health Organization Fetal Growth Study and intended for international use. The graphs reflect the overall fetal growth variation in selected healthy low-risk pregnancies under favourable nutritional and social conditions in different parts of the world; and they encompass some significant differences in fetal growth between populations, prudent to keep in mind when applying and interpreting, as with any use of references.
The Birth Weight Calculator is an Excel sheet that can be downloaded for offline use. It estimates the quantile of a given baby weight, considering the sex and the gestational age at birth.
Uncovering the true burden of maternal morbidity
A better understanding of the extent of maternal morbidity is needed so that it can be both recognised and effectively addressed by countries and health systems. In recognition of this need, WHO has launched a new tool to help health professionals and researchers better monitor and measure this burden – the WHO Maternal Morbidity WOICE Tool.
Optimizing health worker roles for maternal and newborn health
An interactive tool aiming to rationalize the distribution of tasks and responsibilities among cadres of health workers in maternal and newborn health.
Maternal Mortality Rate Country Progress Calculator
This tool enables users to calculate what Annual Rate of Reduction (ARR) is needed in any given country to reach the 2030 Sustainable Development Goal for maternal mortality.
Global Maternal and Neonatal Sepsis Initiative
A website dedicated to empowering healthcare providers to suspect, treat and prevent sepsis in women and newborns.
WHO Concise Guide to Implementing and Scaling up FP Service Improvements
The guide summarizes learning from various scale up approaches and tools into one interactive online guide. Links to the original resources provide users an easy way to access reference materials while at the same time facilitating use of the guide in an interactive format.
Postpartum Family Planning Compendium
The tool provides tailored recommendations for postpartum contraceptive methods based on information entered about a woman’s medical condition and other characteristics.
Abortion care guideline
The objective of this guideline is to present the complete set of all WHO recommendations and best practice statements relating to abortion. While legal, regulatory, policy and service-delivery contexts may vary from country to country, the recommendations and best practices described in this document aim to enable evidence-based decision-making with respect to quality abortion care. This guideline updates and replaces the recommendations in all previous WHO guidelines on abortion care.
Global Abortion Policies Database
The Global Abortion Policies Database is designed to further strengthen global and national efforts to realize access to safe abortion by producing an interactive open-access database and repository of current abortion laws, policies, and national standards and guidelines.
Sexual and reproductive health and rights and HIV linkages toolkit
This simple-to use toolkit will guide you to the most recent, relevant and important SRHR and HIV linkages resources to meet your needs.
SRHR Data Portal
This data portal brings together internationally verified data for 120 indicators relating to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) throughout the life course and including self-care interventions for health. It contains SRHR country profiles with infographics on key data, global targets and trends for 194 countries, and allows for country level comparison through maps, charts and tables.
Masculinities and SRHR: a global priority research agenda
Engaging men and boys in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and doing so in a way that challenges harmful masculinities, is both neglected and vital for improving the SRHR of both women and men. To address this gap, WHO/HRP commissioned a global research priority setting exercise that adapted the CHNRI priority setting method by combining it with qualitative methods.
