Heads-up: I'm defriending people on LJ who have moved to Dreamwidth

This will also help me better keep track of who has yet to make the move. :-P

(This post will be public after posting.)

Update 2018-10-08: LJ's user database was breached, and passwords exposed, so I've defriended everyone else as well to protect their accounts. (After changing my password.)

I moved to Dreamwidth! (they have a nice importer, you should come too while it's still possible)

Since almost all of my friends on LJ have moved over to Dreamwidth (whether posting solely there, or also cross-posting to LJ) and LJ continues to slide into horribleness[1], I have stopped cross-posting to LJ and have begun wiping my old posts.

I really don't trust LJ's management, and now I feel enabled to do something about it. (Also, the lack of HTTPS is just absurd in 2017.)

If you make the jump over to Dreamwidth, my username there is the same, squirrelitude. They have a lovely import tool, go use it! Message me here or comment to let me know who to friend on the other side.

[1] The latest User Agreement indicates they're banning "scripting" (which probably includes backup tools and importing to DW) and will be putting ads on your journal (even if you had paid for that not to happen.)
