A massive Nightwishy picspam!!

I will warn you about the pictures. At the beginning, I hadn't figured out how to get clear shots. If I turned off the flash, they got blurry and streaked, but if I left it on I would get in trouble. So eventually I figured out I could leave it on, but put my finger over the bulb...which in one or two cases caused its own set of problems. A few pictures may look a little red and grainy, but that's because they were really dark to start with, so i pushed 'em to a bit of an extreme to lighten them up. Sorry if they look like shit, at leas they're viewable now.

On with the show!

And now for many obnoxiously blurry pictures of roadies unveiling the boys' instruments and doing sound checks. This one is a particularly good picture of Edward.

And here they are...the men (and woman) of the hour... featured we have Tuomas's vague shape behind a pillar, Edward Scissorhands, Emppu's adorable backside, and Anette.

I swear there's a sexy keyboard player in there somewhere. He was hiding.

Oooh Marco...even when blurry you're still awesome.

You can kinda see Jukka's head...he keeps himself pretty low. But the drums are still hawt. And Edward.

This is one of those that I had to brighten. You got Marco's legs, and then Anette and Emppu off to the right. You can see Emppu's hair, he's looking down at his guitar with Anette standing in front of him. Kinda like an ultrasound, huh? I say "There's a head..." and you're like "Um...sure, whatever you say doc... I think it looks like a lima bean.."

This would be more epic if it was lighter. Marco up close, Emppu behind him, and Anette being awesome.

Yes, Emppu, you are fucking metal. Seriously.

More blurry Marco. I think he's a vampire, always messes with the camera. Nah, the whole lot of 'em are werewolves, two of 'em have admitted to it in interviews.

Had to lighten this one a lot. Marco and Anette. They have such great chemistry on stage.

I don't know why, but I really like this picture. He looks intense. ...he always looks intense...

Serious hotness aside, this man is just so facinating to watch... Can't imagine it's easy to headbang while playing a keyboard.

This would have been a seriously epic shot of Marco, Emppu, and Anette if my fucking finger hadn't gotten in the way. Remember how I said that covering the flash caused its own problems? Yeah....

Head banging at the keyboards. Fucking metal. And...someone who is a guitar player...can't tell who's in the background. Why do they both have to be blonde? :p

Okay....This picture reallly confused the hell out of me for a long time. I was tempted to draw little arrows to the people in it... Anyway, we got Marco right up front and in the middle, I think he's either standing on something or I had the camera low. Right behind him, and facing towards the drums is Anette doing her cute little rockout thing, and then on the right we have Emppu doing his really badass power stance thing of awesome. I love watching him do that. He gets really low and starts hopping up and down. So great.

Theeere's Emppu! He sure knows how to work the crowd. Such a goofball.

I really wanted to tear down that stupid pillar. It deprived me of so many epic shots.

Um...there are a couple guitars there.... would have been cooler if the Bouncer wasn't in the way. But, take a look at that set dressing...hmm..yess...

He has the greatest goofy smile. And he always looks like he's having the time of his life. It's like there's nothing in the world he'd rather be doing than running about on stage with his buddies.

Just one word folks: Epic.

And the epic gets more...epic.

I put the camera away for a good long while cuz the batteries were running low. But see how far I managed to move over? /flex

If I'd managed to get Jukka in this picture, it would probably be the best of the lot of 'em.

Wish I could have seen more of Jukka..but that's still a pretty good shot. Him and his...I'm assuming water, but you can never be sure with these guys :P

Blurry little Emppu hammin' it up for the crowd. He's so cute. The girl with the purple fishnet hand thingies was really nice. I talked with her a good bit before the show.

Okay...I realize this picture is kind of crap... But I've left it in for a purpose. At the end of the show, Tuomas took of his shirt and threw it into the crowd. This was my attempt at trying to catch shirtless-Tuomas on camera. But my brother's camera is slightly retarded and didn't take the picture when I wanted it to, and instead waited until after i'd pushed the button and then moved the camera. So this is a reminder that I have, indeed, seen shirtless Tuomas with my own eyes, and then can tell you all about it. And yes. It was marvelous.

PS: Like the new layout? I want a Nightwish moodtheme, but it looks like I'm gonna have to make one myself cuz I can't seem to find any...And I'm lazy. Suggestions? Yes, I realize that all the text is from The Poet and the Pendulum, while the banner at the top is of the Amaranth album cover...sure, I probably should have put the Pendulum/Dark Passion Play cover in the banner for more uniformity, but I like the flower, so stfu.

And you should probably check out the Friends Only Banner I put up. The old Harry Potter one just didn't go with the theme...

Naked Gnome Races taken to the next level...

This post is unlocked for the time being because I wish to share it with some guild members who don't have LJ, and therefore aren't friended. What follows is the adventures of the Mighty Dancin' Pally Rangers.

It all started when Burning Crusade came out. One of us, I don't remember who, came up with the idea of "Pally Rangers." A group of Paladins with similar names, all questing together. Thus the Pally Rangers were born. I am the pink, Felicia is the yellow, Matt is white, Geoff is teal, Kevin is Green, Felicia's friends are purple and black, and I think there are a few others. Anyway, we decided to get a group together today... We brought along Be's Mage for good luck...

Five of the numerous Pally Rangers met for the first time in Falconwing Square outside of Silvermoon City. As far as I know, this is the largest congregation yet of the Rangers, and many bystanders gathered to watch. We had to ask them very politely to please leave the frame of the picture. Oddly enough, the obliged.

No, we aren't dancing (yet), we were all flexing.

Now we have burst into dance, and that shall remain the theme for the rest of the evening.

As long as we're naked, why not hop in the fountain and get wet?

The Eastern Kingdoms just wasn't what we had hoped for, so we made for the Zeppelin.

The Pally Rangers are now embarking on a historical journey that will remain in the hearts and minds of generations to follow. Or just about two dozen random players that happened to see us... Whatever.

It was in Orgrimmar that we met up with our dear friend Be, formerly the Bluplranger, but he deleted his character. We also picked up a straggler here, but he left soon after.

This Troll Rogue had commented that we were a Blood Elf beach party, and stood among us for a while, not joining in the dancing. How sad.

It wasn't long before we decided we needed to run to Thunder bluff. At first it was a race...

But then we decided to stick together as we crossed the treacherous land of the Barrens. I followed Be, Felicia followed me, and so on..

When we stopped in Crossroads for the flightpath, a Tauren warrior had already sent a warning to general chat, announcing our impending arrival. All manner of creatures came out of the woodworks to see the Mighty Naked Pally Rangers. What would have been a stop of only a few moments, turned into a feverous dance show that was enjoyed by many.

While waiting for the crowd to disperse, the Yellow and Purple rangers got into a fist fight as a Warlock looks on.

We then bid our farewell to Crossroads and made for Camp Tarujo, but we had no welcoming party. The journey to Thunder Bluff was terribly uneventful, but finally we made it safely to the lifts.

First we took a quick dip in the pool on the lower rise:

And then we announced to the city that we were hosting a pool party in the Pools of Vision. No one showed up, but we had fun anyway.

Most of these were taken at the Old Idaho State Penitentiary. The rest were at Shakespeare Park, where they hold the Idaho Shakespeare Festival.

The Walmart 1-hour photo was down, so we used Fred Meyers instead. I don't know if you guys can see it, but I can definitely see a difference in the picture quality. I won't be doing digital processing with these guys again, yuck!

Keep in mind that the makeup is seven hours hold or so, and wasn't put on very smoothly to begin with. And the weight of the lekku likes to lift my eyebrows.
