Advising, Career & Transfer Center

The ACT Center is the home of your assigned Educational & Career Planner, who will help you achieve your educational and career goals. Advising has transitioned to the Pathway model, which means students are now meeting with advisors assigned to their specific academic Pathways. As a result, wait times may vary depending on your Pathway.

About the ACT Center

The ACT Center's Educational & Career Planners are here to help you identify a Pathway and program of study that aligns with your educational, career, and transfer goals. We’ll help you create a degree plan to keep you on track to graduate and help you find resources to achieve your goals for the future.

How it works:

  • You will meet with the advisor assigned to your pathway.
  • Each advisor will offer scheduled group sessions. These may be walk-in or sign-up, depending on the advisor.
  • Advisors will email you with available session dates and instructions (including whether you need to sign up in advance).
  • Sessions may be held on Zoom or in person.

Additional ways to connect with your advisor:

  • Email, call, or message your assigned advisor on Navigate360.
  • Schedule an individual advising appointment for one-on-one support.

Appointments ensure one-on-one time with an Educational & Career Planner for you to:

  • Compare different degrees in detail
  • Create a degree plan
  • Begin transfer planning
  • Receive an unofficial review of transcripts from other colleges
