It's been far too long since this community has been updated! I've been a little busy raising some kiddos and the next time I looked, seven years had gone by.

I know fanfic is sparse these days but have you seen anything you love lately?

I finally got with the times and am getting my fic moved over to Archive of Our Own - with significant edits because now I don't have to worry about certain scenes and language getting flagged.

The Ghost and Ms. Burkle is pretty much the same but Work in Progress is very different and I'm loving where it winds up.

Summary: After Illyria and the Apocalypse, Spike seeks a well deserved retirement, and Fred doesn't complain.

Author's Note: Second installment of the Retirement 'Verse and follow up to Bad Day Again, though no real knowledge of either is required, just that it's a bloody fandom palooza. This is the place where all my favourite characters go to get their happily ever after, regardless of how many rules I have to bend to see it happen. In this installment there are mentions of Angel, Supernatural, True Blood, and Leverage. The opening/closing lines come from the song No One's Gunna Love You by Band of Horses--though I listened to The Funeral the entire time I wrote it.

Summary: AU after Not Fade Away. Just because Fred is back doesn’t mean she’s okay, but Spike is there to see her through her bad days.

Author's Note: I haven’t written anything in . . . ages. I got listening to Fuel’s “Bad Day” about a week ago and the idea just stuck in my head. I also think the worst thing that Joss Whedon ever did was get rid of Fred. I’m a Spred shipper from way back, and while this isn’t my first fic of the two of them, apparently fanfiction.net deleted every story I ever posted, so, this is like my first fic. I just wanted to remind myself I actually was capable of writing things. Written in about two hours, and there was no beta except proofreading. I also really hope I posted this right.

Title: Retrieval and Return
Rating: Mostly PG-13, reaching up to R eventually.
Summary: While laying low from Wolfram and Hart, the gang stumbles upon a group of wannabe slayers, struggling to keep their tiny town from a nest of vampires. In return, the ragtag bunch might be able to help our heroes bring back a friend. On top of that, Wolfram and Hart isn't giving up so easily. Couple of snotty teenage OC's, who won't be hanging around for long.
Pairing: Fred/Spike, some Angel/Nina.
Disclaimer: I do not own Angel or any of the characters from the show. If I did, Fred would not be Illyria, and Spike would be cuddling her.
