[Having just woken up from a brief yet nice nap, Sukekiyo uncurled himself from his bedding in the living room of Minagawa's apartment, stretching languidly and yawning in a nice display of cat manners.

That's when he saw it, resting on top of the coffee table. That communicator. Suddenly feeling a little frisky, he dashed over toward it and leapt on top, causing the thing to turn on. As the cat continued to circle around it and bat at it with his paw a few times, somewhat proud to have avoided another shock, faint voices could be heard in the background.]

I still feel a bit embarrassed that I had to request this of you, Yuuko-san.

It's no reason for embarrassment at all, Minagawa-san. There's only so long a man can go without this.

Perhaps... then again, I'm not sure of who else I could have asked.

I believe this is what most would call overkill, but I'm sure that no one minds an overabundance of Christmas spirit.

[Minagawa sure as well doesn't, especially since he's been walking around with a santa hat that his cat seemed to have brought home this morning. At the moment, he's sitting at a table inside of Cafe Alpha, contemplating putting the hat on Sukekiyo's head while the cat has taken a quick nap.]

By the way, about those special plants. Did you know there is a species of them that is actually supposed to be poisonous? Of course, I hear that gets taken care of so that it's not a concern. Still, how curious is it that you would have to kiss under such a thing?

[And just as he manages to plop the hat onto Sukekiyo's head, the communicator gives off a short bzzzt.

The cat runs off, and Minagawa is left pouting in his seat, hat drooped sadly on the top of the table.]

Scientists, care to do me another favor? I'm in need of a few small bags of shredded coconut, as well as some bars of dark chocolate, preferably about 70% cocoa. Bags of marshmallows as well. Small containers of cinnamon as well as some cinnamon bark. Also, I am planning to make buche de noel, so I apologize for the following lengthy ingredient list. I'd prefer for it to be at least a tad passable.

[The communicator tumbles to the ground with a loud clatter, and in the background you can hear a very irritated low growl followed by a high hiss. Sukekiyo has unfortunately gotten too used to sleeping with the thing and was over in a corner of Cafe Alpha's storage room, curled up in a huge pile of torn-up blankets and a lime green Snuggie (covered in black cat fur of course).

Or, it was. Seeing as it's currently smacking away at the communicator for a bit. Revenge!]

[Of course the keysmash has to stop sooner or later, which it does once that cat accidentally turns it onto voice. [There's a very close-up, shaky and blurry view of... something. Of course the screen does pull back soon enough to show this scrawled out on a piece of paper.]

[The communicator turns off. No matter what you say about this, Minagawa's not responding to you-- though his cat might? If you happen to go by the name of Shinji or Cube though, you're an exception. In both the cafe and the bar, Minagawa has left another note. To further ensure he's not bothered during this troublesome rainstorm, he has left a note on his front door as well. Don't bother trying to open the door though, as it's locked. The only way in would be through the kitty door located near the base of the door, but that's... a kitty door, and nowhere near human-sized either.]

((ooc; If you guessed correctly, Minagawa will be locked away in his apartment until the rain is gone. Perona has also been kicked out temporarily and will be around the Northern Lights Bar and Cafe Alpha "helping". Odds are Sukekiyo will be around the area ~~when not at Japan's place visiting his kitty girlfriend~~ whenever the rain isn't that much of a problem. :V))

Until a low, sad meow breaks the silence. Then another. And another. And another.

Sukekiyo keeps meowing, all while Minagawa's lifeless body and that of a dead soldier lay a few feet away from him in the alleyway next to the Northern Lights bar.

Another meow, longer this time and louder, as if that's enough to wake Minagawa up. But it's not doing anything. Even as he tries again, and again, and again. Suke doesn't stop meowing even as the communicator times out.]

(ooc; Updated death toll: +1 NPC and +1 creeper chef. If anyone is around the Northern Lights, you most definitely will be able to hear Sukekiyo.)

Footsteps, furniture being moved around, papers being thrown aside, the loud bang and slam of shelves being opened, then cupboards and drawers and the closet door. Someone's making quite a mess. But who, and what for?

Then it all stops. Footsteps again, walking toward the communicator it seems. It's picked up.]

How funny. It's very cute, really. I'll see how you manage to steal again when every bone, joint and ligament in your fingers is broken.

[To say that Minagawa isn't happy would be the understatement of the century right now. There's a very long pause, just so you can let the not-so-nice tone of those words absorb into your head.

[If you just so happen to be on Bonito Drive outside of the Northern Lights bar, you might hear some extra noise. Something like the sound of a scuffle or a fight. No, it has nothing to do with all the chaos going around due to pesky Lavos Spawn.

A certain puppykid seems to have gotten himself into some sort of trouble with a certain large cat. That cat being Minagawa's cat, Sukekiyo.

You might think Nora has the upper hand in this fight. Well... from the sound of it, he's not having an easy job handling this situation. Not to mention, for how large Sukekiyo is, he's capable of jumping pretty darn high.

And just as he's about to take a flying leap toward Nora's face, paws out and claws extended-- the comm turns off.]

(ooc: Commentlog with failhound to finish up this crazy battle. All responses will be considered to have occurred after the fight. Anyone at the bar or near Bonito Drive is free to observe, but no interfering. Believe me, Suke has it under control. :|b)

[Good morning Discedo! Have we got an exciting video transmission for you today. First, you see... black. That's all you see on the screen. A whole lot of black. Suddenly, not anymore! Instead you see-- a cat's butt.

Thankfully that view is gone soon enough also. The large black/purple-ish cat takes a seat in front of the communicator, tail swishing back and forth behind it as it keeps staring ahead, watching something intently. But what could it be?

Perhaps if it crouches down as if to pounce, which it does, you can catch a glimpse of the large crystal right in front of it. It's not a clear image, but you can see details of a very traumatizing event for this poor poor cat. An event that thankfully turned out a lot better. However, this doesn't matter to the cat, seeing as right when the image is done it just leaps up to try and attack the crystal.

Then, in the background, you hear a voice. Kind of a sleepy voice actually. What time is it again?]

What do you think you're doing?

[The communicator times out.]

(ooc: people of Horton, enjoy your new chubby feline resident. He'll rarely if ever leave Minagawa's apartment room but... you know how cats are. :3a He will also follow around Minagawa at times, because he looooves him so much.

[As the communicator tumbled to the ground, the voice transmission began with... well, a whole lot of silence. It stays like that for a minute or so before finally there's a sound. It's not words though, but something like a hard object tapping away at a can or something.

This continues for a few seconds before a faint voice comes in from the background.]

[Tap tap tap... tap tap tap, more loudly this time, and the voice sounds closer.]

[Tap tap-- then the tapping stops. The voice doesn't continue.

Then, there's a loud thump as something falls to the ground next to the communicator. It's small though, so there's not much noise.

Until something else falls, and it's a much louder thump.

It's quiet again, except you might be able to catch some soft breathing, but even that stops at one point.

Finally, in the darkest, most sinister and skin-crawling voice you could possibly imagine--]
