Sweet baby Jeebus.. Long time no see.. Sorry I haven't been around lately.. Some reasons for that include me being busy, me losing the power cord to my computer, and my basement (where my comp is located) is very cold.. Anyhoo, how's everyone? I hope you're all well..

A few updates on me:

The holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's) all went well.. New Year's was slightly depressing, but whatever.. I spent it with Sabo and Jenn, my CF friends, and Sab isn't doing very well.. So yea, that sucks ass.. It was a dose of reality that I didn't really wanna deal with..

I got a dog!! My sister, brother-in-law and mother all chipped in and bought me this little white dog.. I named him Pippin.. So poor Pippin was depressed and sick, and refused to eat.. Long, sad story short, he died (at the vet, not at my house, thank God) within a week of buying him.. So my sister was super pissed and rightly so.. We all went down to the pet store and after much arguing, we got a new dog.. A HUSKY!! No offense to Pippin (may he rest in peace), but huskies are my dream dog.. And now I have one.. :) His name is Shadow and he's a pain in the ass.. But I love him.. He's my icon..

I'm officially a college dropout.. Le sigh.. Ok, well, technically I'm just taking the semester off, but I think I'm just gonna go to one of those Devry type schools instead.. Either TCI or the Art Institute or something.. I have almost four years in school and I'm not even half way through my credits.. I'm not gonna spend another four years in college getting a degree in something I don't even like.. I'd rather get into graphic arts, like I wanted.. So yea.. Hopefully this all works out..

Yep, I think that's about it.. The major stuff worth mentioning anyway..

Hey, I'm back.. Actually, I got out of the hospital a good two weeks ago, but I kept on forgetting to go on LJ.. Heh.. How's everyone doing? I missed some stuff, but I haven't checked the back pages of LJ yet.. So please, fill me in on your lives..

What's been going on with me lately?

I got out of the hospital, like I said (or typed) earlier.. And me being the lucky cow that I am, got a cold just a week after.. I'm trying to recover from that now..
Woo hoo medication..

I'm pretty sure everyone has seen those yellow and pink bracelets.. The ones that spread awareness and get donations for Cancer.. Well, it seems we're joining the bandwagon.. The Milan Foundation now has a purple bracelet you can buy to spread CF awareness.. They're going to give their proceeds to CF families in need.. And the CF Foundation is in the process of making a blue one.. I think that's great.. Plus I love the fact that the bracelet says "Breathe Easy".. So yes, we stole the idea, but I still like it.. (Go buy one!)

My niece turned one on the 23rd.. Good Lord she's getting so big.. She's walking around and babbling a mile a minute.. She still doesn't say my name though.. I will get her to say it.. If it's the last thing I do.. She's such a cutie pie.. My sister took her to take family photos, and one of the photographers said she should see if she can get her to do baby modeling.. My sister's ego just got a tiny bit bigger.. LOL.. I don't know if the lady really thought that, or was just saying it to get my sister to buy more pictures, but I'd like to think she was being serious.. I am a proud auntie after all..

I bought "America: The Book" from The Daily Show.. So funny.. I haven't gotten a chance to read a lot of it, but it's hilarious.. Plus, naked old people.. Yay?

Oh, and from one Yankee hater (I'm a Mets fan) to another, CONGRATULATIONS RED SOX!! Take that, you arrogant bastards! *Ahem* Sorry..

I'm not at home at the moment, which kind of explains my lack of updates, but not completely.. My laziness is also a factor.. LOL..

Anyhoo, so I'm here at the hospital again.. Which fucking sucks.. A lot.. I have a feeling that I'll be writing an entry about all of this CF crap.. I keep debating whether I wanna write about all of that stuff in here or not.. It's a little depressing, and I tend to get over it within a day.. On the bright side, I'll be going home in a week or so.. So yay!

School is kinda shaky.. I wound up missing a lot of classes before I even came in here.. Add that to what I'm missing now, and God only knows what will happen this semester.. I emailed my professors though.. Now all I have to do is wait..

My niece is almost 1.. Her birthday is on the 23rd of this month.. She's getting so fricking big.. I'll probably post a picture of her when I get home.. I feel like I should let my sister know that I'm posting pictures of her baby online first.. I'm odd.. Heh..

My mom is painting my room while I'm in here.. Coolness.. I didn't feel like doing it myself.. I hope the color turns out ok.. I told her what I wanted, but I still haven't seen what it looks like..

I freaking LOVE The Daily Show.. Seriously, they've been absolutely hysterical during this whole Indecision 2004 thing.. And I heart Jon Stewart(whaaaaa?) and also Stephen Colbert (it's french, bitch).. It's insane how they've been getting so much publicity lately.. I'm glad though.. It's well deserved.. I wanna get tickets for the show, but I have no idea who I would go with.. No one seems to be a huge fan, like me.. How sucky..

I feel like I haven't been on LJ in ages.. And commented on anyone's LJ in even longer.. Sorry.. I kinda suck at that lately.. I've been skimming some LJ stuff today.. Hopefully everyone is ok.. Feeling happy and healthy.. And for those of you who aren't (I did manage to read a few of the entries) I hope you get better (whether it be mentally or physically) soon..

funkmastermo isn't the only new home owner.. My mom has been trying to buy a house for the past few months and we finally got it.. Woo hoo! We're home owners now!

We're moving out soon.. But we have to paint first, and do some other stuff.. I personally have no idea what to do with my room since it's in the basement, and there's a fricking pole in the middle of the room.. Grr.. My inner interior designer is pissed.. But alas, I shall work around it (probably literally).. We also have a backyard, which will soon (or not so soon, a year :( ) have a dog.. Heh..

I'm so excited, but today I saw a "For Rent" sign, on the front window of my apartment.. It was sad.. That moment where reality sets in.. I'm leaving Corona.. I've lived here for 9 years.. You get attached to a neighborhood.. I'll miss it..

I'm still happy though.. I have a house!

It's icon time again.. Yay! After running out of trial versions of software, I had to stop.. But I came across this program, The GIMP (the most offensive name ever), and decided to give it a try.. It's a little more confusing, and I still haven't figured out what it can and can't do, but it's pretty good.. And hey, it's free!

I also sadly attempted to change the colors on my LJ to match the orange icon.. That didn't work out too great, but I got annoyed and decided to leave it till tomorrow..

I've actually never drank and posted online, let alone chatted with anyone.. It's funny.. My typos are ridiculous.. Except I keep going back and fixing them.. Anyhoo..

You know what's also fun?

Having a low alcohol tolerance.. I had like two drinks.. A Cranberry and Vodka and a Long Island Iced Tea and I'm so good baby.. It's a good thing too cause I hate the taste of alcohol..

I went bowling tonight.. I suck at bowling.. Poop.. And then we played some arcade games including air hockey which I beat my friend at.. Yay me!

So last night I was watching FOX and saw a commercial for their newest reality show Trading Spouses coming later in the summer.. The families on the show will trade mothers/wives.. I'm pretty damn sure this was a sketch on Chappelle's Show (except they traded fathers -- "G-g-g-g-get your ass in the car!").. In fact, I think it even had the same name.. And they're trying to beat ABC to the punch, because they also have the same type of show coming out, but in the fall..

I decided to pretend everyone cares about my opinion, so I present to you some summer shows you should all watch.. Since I don't know what the new shows are like (cause they haven't aired yet), these are all returning shows that are beginning their new summer seasons..

Monk: Monk is about a man named Adrian Monk who is obsessive compulsive and chock full of phobias.. He used to be part of the police department but after his wife was murdered, he was never the same.. He eventually lost his job, but now helps out the police department as a private consultant.. This show is both funny, cause Monk is quirky, and cool because of the weird way that Monk solves his crimes..

Nip/Tuck: Can I just say that I freaking love Nip/Tuck? Cause I do.. Two plastic surgeons, Christian and Sean, are best friends and partners who run a clinic together.. This show pretty much is about their lives, in and out of the business.. Christian is the "bad boy", who leads the (very whorish) single life and is secretly (or not so secretly) pining away after his best friend's wife, Julia.. Sean leads more of the bland life.. He has two children (his son Matt reminds me of Michael Jackson, poor guy) and is in a marriage that is falling apart..Christian and Sean are pretty much on opposite sides of the spectrum, but still manage to be friends.. They also get in the oddest situations, like performing plastic surgery on a wanted drug lord.. It's insanely good, and my little summary isn't doing it justice.. Just watch it..

Reno 911: Ahh, the weirdness that is Reno 911.. This show is a comedic version of Cops and is about the Reno sheriff's department.. It focuses on seven of the officers, one of which is Lt. Dangle.. I absolutely adore him.. He, for some ungodly reason, wears these tiny shorts instead of the issued uniform pants.. Some of the other officers are Dep. Jones (who spends most of his time dodging Lt. Dangle's advances), Dep. Weigel (who is, in a word, crazy) and Dep. Johnson (who is the station slut).. Funny, funny stuff..

Queer Eye for the Straight Guy: I think everyone knows what this show is about, and if you don't, you're living under a rock.. Queer Eye for the Straight Guy is surprisingly funny, and this might just be the girl in me, but I love the redecorating part.. Thom (the interior design guy) is the greatest.. He turns the houses which are utter crap to stylish places that suit the straight guys' personalities.. I think I love him.. But alas, it was never meant to be.. He likes boys.. *pout*

Celebrity Poker Showdown: Celebrity Poker Showdown managed to surprise me.. I actually didn't watch much of it last season, but I happened to catch a few episodes lately and I was quite entertained.. Five celebrities play for money ($50,000) to be donated to the charity of their choice.. The latest episode had players including Danny Masterson (who I was rooting for), James Wood and Dule Hill.. It was a pretty exciting game.. This show has made me want to learn how to play poker..

Touching Evil: Ok, so I cheated a bit.. This show isn't returning for its summer season.. Touching Evil actually started in the spring and is still airing new episodes.. It's a crime drama which centers around the main character David Creegan, played by Jeffrey Donovan.. He, along with being a detective, is a fricking weirdo.. He got shot in the head and survived, and ever since then, he's been a little odd.. He's got that scruffy, insano vibe, which I like.. Plus him and his partner Susan Branca are totally gonna get it on.. I am calling it now.. That being said, it's a pretty cool show..

Thus concludes my little summer preview.. Now go and watch the awesome-ness.. :)

I figured out that my D drive was an extra hard drive.. Woo hoo! That's good cause my original one was 93% full.. I got it down to 63% after moving crap around and cleaning and defragmenting it.. And yay.. I can download to my heart's content now.. :)

BUT..

Just when I thought I had fixed my computer, this happens.. *pouts* My friend Sab sent me a link to someone's profile cause she wanted to show me something.. So the profile has a middle finger drawn out of dashes and stuff and a link that sounds semi pornographic, but in a revenge-y way.. I dunno.. So I didn't think anything of the finger cause I've seen drawings made out of dashes before, so I clicked on the link.. Now it asked me to download something, but since she sent me the link (and it was her friend's profile) I downloaded it.. Very stupid of me.. Apparently Sab loved the middle finger, not the download.. The damn thing is what looks like some fricking chick's webcam page.. And it pops up out of the blue.. So it looks like I'm browsing porn.. It won't go away.. I tried scanning for viruses.. I tried scanning for adware.. I tried scanning for spybots.. Nothing finds this thing, where ever the hell it's hiding.. I'm running out of ideas.. I think I'm gonna ask Sab if she could send me the link again.. Maybe I can figure out the name of the download or location and find it that way..
