It's universal x86/Arm and inexpensive. REVIEW: I've been through most of the current text-to-speech-to-audio-file apps and this one is the most functional and easiest to use. That's not to say it's perfect. You have to click on the Edit button to change your text after you've tested its speech. It's a minor inconvenience. Everything else works great! I can't say that about any of the other alternatives. For now, THIS IS THE ONE to use! - - What would I add? Reminiscing: Back in the olden days of text-to-speech, the best apps allowed control of pronunciation for your chosen voice. Otherwise, getting words to rhyme in a written poem would often be an impossibility. We also used to be able to control how emphatic a voice would sound. That's long gone. So what we have now as the all around best is Speech! 😊

Note that v1.11.0 is from March, 2023. You may already have this update.

The spoken text is incomprehensible.

Can you guys make it a Menu Bar app?

This app is redundant of features already in OS X. Example: Drop text into Apple's TextEdit and perform the same. Use the Dictation & Speech system preferences to alter voices. Note that there are free apps that similarly summarize these OS X features. Also: Do NOT count on the pronunciations of Apple's Speech voices to represent human spoken speech. Apple compatible voices are certainly very good, but they are NOT perfect. Listen to and repeat from REAL human speakers instead for best results.
