The reflective diffuser provides the best signal to noise ratio, along with the best accuracy at extreme angles along an axis. Special care must be taken with handling this diffuser to ensure the surface remains clean and free of damage. The fiber arm should be placed perpendicular to the sun or illumination source. It is useful for downwelling irradiance measurements.
