1: What got you into Hetalia? Or who?
It's a long story. I started watching Hetalia episodes after Anime Expo 2009 and 2011, and since July 2011, I've been obsessed with it. For details, see this entry: It's All Anime Expo's Fault... No, it's not.

2: What month and year did you first start watching it?
You can say I had to start watching it twice: July 2009 and July 2011

3: Who is your favourite character currently?
I don't do favorites on people and characters. I just like everyone with good personalities.

4: If you could have one ship become canon, what pairing would it be?
Ones that make sense

5: Do you like Hetalia yaoi?
If it the relationship makes sense, and is not too graphic or mushy.

6: How has Hetalia affected history for you?
I learned more about general world history from it than school.

7: What do you prefer and why: Axis or Allies?
I'm glad I don't have to make that decision today. If it's during WWII, I would probably choose the Allies, but that could be because my country was with the Allies, and history is usually biased towards our own country. Still, I think it was wrong of the Axis to invade in the first place.

9: Do any of your friends like Hetalia?
I made friends with some Hetalia fans, but none of my friends I made from before Hetalia are into that series.

10: Are you caught up with all of the episodes?
Yes

11: Which Hetalia-related merchandise (official and unofficial) do you own?

12: Do you read any fanfics and if so, what's your favourite one?
I read ones that make sense, teach good lessons, and have happy endings and no nasty or improper content.

13: How have you contributed to the fandom?
I haven't contributed. I have drawn some terrible Hetalia fanart and reviewed fanfiction. I also have a casual makeshift Taiwan cosplay.

14: What popular ship do you not like?
Ones that don't make sense.

15: What unpopular ship do you like?
Ones that make sense.

16: Who was the first character you instantly fell in love with?
I prefer to keep fact and fiction separate, so I don't fall in love with characters.

17: What episode gave you the most feels?
I guess it would be America's Storage Cleaning, Chibitalia Part 12 (near the end), Liechtenstein's Journal Of Swiss Dopiness (the beginning), Though I May Depart, You Shall Remain, and A Bientôt! Until We Meet Again!

18: What episode gave you the most laughs?
This is hard to say. Many episodes made me laugh.

19: What is your favourite episode in general?
Ones that have happy endings and teach good lessons

20: Do you have any crossover ships with any Hetalia characters?
No.

21: What is your favourite Hetaloid song?
I'm not familiar with Hetaloid.

22: Thoughts on HetaOni? Have you played it?
I wish it had a happy ending. I've played it, but I still like Tomoyoshi's version better.

It would be nice if he were, but I don't want to get my hopes up too high.

Ones with bad personalities

27: Do you recognize Sealand as a country?
I can't recognize him as a country if he isn't, but I feel sorry for him. I hope he can become a country.

What gave you the idea of Hetalia?

I have a casual makeshift Taiwan cosplay. However, it's wishy-washy and from my closet, so I guess it doesn't count.

30: If you had the ability to change your height, shape, voice, clothing, and even gender, who would be your dream?
No one.

31: Look at the country you are currently living in. If they are an official Hetalia character, how do you feel about that.
Americans aren't stupid, and don't eat only burgers. However, I don't mind how they portray him since Hetalia is historical fiction to me, and I keep fact and fiction separate. I actually think it's funny they portray my country that way.

32: What are some Hetalia OC's (Original Characters) you have made up?
I'm not creative so I don't make up characters.

33: What are some of your biggest headcanons?
I don't really have headcanons.

34: What is the one thing about the fandom that irks you the most?
Unpleasant people

35: Your favourite seiyuu/voice actor in the Sub or the Dub?
I don't do favorites on people and characters.

36: Are you a HetaStuck? Thoughts on it?
I tried to read Homestuck, but it confused and frustrated me, so I quit. I just can't get into it, but if people are interested in it, they should go ahead and enjoy it.

37: Is Hetalia the biggest fandom you are in? If not, what is?
I'm not sure what the biggest fandoms are, especially when they keep changing.

38: How much has Hetalia taken over your life?
I am too obsessed and I have wasted time from important things on it.

39: What is your favourite fan-made video or tribute you've ever seen?
I can't remember all the ones I watch, but I like many of them.

40: Do you think Prussia is awesome?
People who are awesome do not boast how awesome they are.

41: Personality-wise, which character are you like the most?
Personality tests usually say I'm more like Canada, China, Japan, or Lithuania. Well, they are nice, so I'm afraid I cheated. According to certain people, I'm more like the rude, mean, and arrogant ones.

42: How do you feel about the Nordics?
I like them though they are like a clique.

43: How do you feel about the "cult" around Germany?
What cult? Is is about "Doitsuism?" I didn't really understand what was going on, but it seemed stupid since it didn't make sense. Sorry, but I can't tolerate nonsense.

44: Any crack pairings?
I don't tolerate nonsense.

45: Will you ever leave the Hetalia fandom?
I don't think so because I am too obsessed and resistant to change.

46: Are you glad that you started watching Hetalia?
I am glad because I enjoy it, but I am also not happy, because I became even more irresponsible. I picked up another obsession, which takes my time away from important things.

47: What did you do before starting to watch Hetalia?
I was into other fictional stories and series.

"Hetalia" World Conference Meme

I don't do favorites on people or characters, so I just tried to stick with the main characters: World 8, G8, and HetaOni. I wrote each character's name on a paper, put them in a cup, and drew each one out randomly. Then I listed the characters in the order they were drawn.

Choose 10 characters:

1) You wake up and open your eyes, immediately you see 6 [Canada] before your eyes. What do you do?
I would be shocked, and ask him how he arrived and what he was doing, standing by my bed. Then we'll probably talk, and I would tell him that I feel sorry for him because he is usually forgotten and ignored.

2) You stand up and go to the bathroom. You notice that 1 [France] is in your shower. How do you react?
I would probably scream out of fear and shock and cover my eyes. Then I would yell at him for using my shower without permission, and call the police. He would probably try to flirt, and I would yell at him some more. If he used any of my supplies, I would make him pay. Once he's out, I would wash and disinfect the whole shower and bathtub because I'm very paranoid of germs.

3) After you finally finished everything in the bathroom, you go into the kitchen and see that 10 [Prussia] makes breakfast for you. What will you do, will you eat it?
He would probably boast about his "awesome cooking" and ask me to eat it. I would thank him and try it.

4) After that you go outside to drive to the world conference, but 3 [Germany] is standing with his/her car in front of your house. Will you drive with him/her or do you rather drive with your car?
I would say "No, thank you. I get carsick very easily, and have places to go after the conference."

5) At the conference: 8 [Russia] is really annoying. What will you do?
This is no surprise. He would very likely be annoying many others. I would most likely be trying to avoid him, and with several others, we could tell him to stop it. If he doesn't we'll kick him out. He may be strong, but if several of us work together, then we would be stronger.

6) You get hungry and at the break you go into a restaurant, but you notice that 2 [China] stalks you. How will you react?
Why would China be stalking me in the first place? Maybe he wanted to get to know me better since I am also Asian. I would ask if he needed something.

7) You have your meal in front of you. You want to eat it, but immediately 9 [America], 3 [Germany] and 4 [North Italy] is sitting beside you. Do you agree that they sit here with you?
I don't mind. We could talk and get to know one another better. Restaurant meals are often too much for me, so maybe I'll give them my leftovers. America probably wanted to discuss some national issues with me since I'm his citizen. While then, I would tell him to quit forgetting and ignoring his little brother.

8) You eat your meal and then someone pokes your back. It is 5 [Japan]. What does he/she wants?
Japan is afraid of being rude, so he wouldn't do something like that. He would probably say "Excuse me," then probably ask something about the world conference or other important things. Since I a citizen of America, his friend, he would probably also want to get acquainted, especially since I'm also Asian.

9) You go back to the world conference and see that 7 [England] walks beside you and smirks at you. What will you do?
I'm not surprised since England is a smart alec. I would probably just smirk back and say "Hi."

10) You are back at the conference and try to sit comfortably in your chair. 1 [France] and 9 [America] are looking at you and laugh. Why and what will you say to them? Or do you say nothing?
I would probably glare at them and ask, "What happened?" They would probably say that they were laughing at something else, but their real reason would be that I'm weird, especially for repeatedly reminding others to pay attention to Canada and punishing those who ignore and forget him. Since I'm America's citizen, France might have asked him about me.

11) Again, the countries are not so much interested about the real problems in the world. You hear someone shouting. It is 4 [North Italy]. How will you react?
I would be startled, turn to him, and ask "Is something wrong?" If he is trying to get everyone to stop fighting I would agree and help him with it. Actually, Germany would be the one shouting at them to stop fighting.

12) 9 [America] decides to go to you and whispers something in your ear. What is he whispering?
"How was your first world conference? As the hero, I tried to make it as good for you as I could."

13) After that information, the world conference ends and you try to go home, but after you pass the door, 8 [Russia] is pulling you aside. What does he/she wants?
He is mad at me for getting several others together to make him stop being annoying. As revenge, he probably wants to torture me into becoming one with him.

14) 2 [China] notices you with 8 [Russia] and goes to you. Your reaction?
China is trying to get me away from Russia and tell him to stop bullying and stalking others. That would be a relief. At the same time, I might fear that they're trying to get me to support communism. In that case, America would step in to try to be a hero and get me away from them.

15) They start to fight and 6 [Canada] goes to you, touches your buttocks, and asks why they are fighting. What will you say and what will you do?
I would be startled by the touch, then glare at him, and he would apologize. Actually, Canada wouldn't touch me, so it was probably an accident. For his question, I would tell him the truth, and he would probably tell them to stop fighting and explain to them how they are wrong.

16) 1 [France] sees that, too, and is shouting at them. He/she grabs your arm and pulls you out of this mess. How will you react?
France is probably yelling at Canada, "Love is not something you can force on others!" He would probably shout at Russia and China for possibly putting me in danger. I would thank him. Actually, the opposite is more likely to happen: France would more likely be the one touching me, with Canada yelling at him.

17) You say 'thank you' to 1 [France] and walk home until a car stops beside you. It is 10 [Prussia]. Will you enter the car or do you walk home alone?
How would I be walking home if I had driven to the world conference? Besides, I had other places to go afterwards. If Prussia had stopped while I was walking home, I would politely turn him down and keep walking.

18) You are at home, finally. You lie down on your couch and turn on the TV. You see 2 [China] in a TV show. How do you react?
I don't think I would have any reaction since the country characters probably appear on TV a lot.

19) 5 [Japan] calls you and asks you if you see 2 [China] in the TV show too. What will you say?
I would just say, "Yes."

20) After that call, you listen carefully to the TV show and then you see 7 [England] comes to the show too. You notice that they are talking about you and that they really like you. Your reaction?
I would be embarrassed and nervous, which would make me put my guard up. I want to be single, and don't want anybody stalking or sexually harassing me.

21) Again, your phone rings. You pick up and recognize that 8 [Russia] calls you and laughs like a idiot. What will you say?
I'm not surprised because that sounds like something Russia will do. I'll just hang up.

22) Finally the call ends and the show is over. Then someone is knocking on your door. Can't you just live in peace? Well, you open the door and 3 [Germany] is standing here with flowers. Will you accept them and what will you say?
I would say, "Hi" and learn what the flowers are for. If they are for love, then I will politely refuse. If they are for friendship or apology for the chaotic world conference, then I would accept and thank him.

23) Strange things are happening today. It is evening and you want to go to the bathroom. Immediately you see 4 [Italy] half naked in your bathroom. What will you do?
I would be screaming in shock and fear and make sure he didn't touch anything. He would probably apologize and wave his white flag.

24) You go into the shower and after you made yourself dry, you notice that someone watched you the whole time. You recognize that it was 10 [Prussia]. What do you do now?
I would yell at him, call the police, and file a report for sexual harassment and invasion of privacy. I would also tell his brother about it.

25) It is 9 P.M. and actually you are already tired, but you turn on your laptop and see that you received a message from 6 [Canada]. What did he/she wrote and what will you answer back?
Canada's message: "I am sorry you had to sit through a chaotic meeting. It happens a lot. Thank you for getting others to pay attention to me! It's good that my brother has citizens who notice me. I'm sorry about Russia torturing you and France using your shower without permission. That's how they are, but France wouldn't do something like that to you again. It was nice having a citizen at the world conference, and I hope to see you again some time."

My reply: "Thanks! It was nice seeing and talking to you, too. Don't worry about what happened with me. I am not surprised about many of the things at the world conference since I already know about them. Others need to remember and pay attention to you. It makes me mad when they don't. My friends remember you, too. I know France will not do such things to me again. Despite his flirty and improper behavior, he is actually nice. Russia is another story. I would be nice to see you and Kumajirou again in the future."

If Canada really did touch me, this is what he would add: "I'm sorry for touching you. It was an accident. I was walking towards you when I got pushed."

My reply for Canada touching me: "Don't worry about it. I understand you wouldn't purposely do something like that.

26) You wrote your message back and you thought that you can sleep now, but then you notice that something hit on your window. You open it and see 5 [Japan]. What does he want now and how will you react?
Japan probably wanted to get to know me better as well as discuss the world conference and what China and England said about me on TV. I would let him in and talk. Actually, he wouldn't arrive so late because that would be rude. He would arrive earlier or wait until the next day, and knock on my door.

27) After that, you lie down in your bed again and... you receive a message from 7 [England]. What does he/she want, and will you write back?
England is probably asking about some missed information from world conference and if I saw him on TV. He probably also wants to know how a citizen of his friend, America, ended up at the meeting. I would reply, saying that I don't know how I got dragged to a world meeting, and politely let him know that I don't want a relationship.

28) You fall asleep and you dream about 4 [Italy], 6 [Canada], and 7 [England]. What do you dream?
Italy would probably be cooking and eating pasta, and Germany would be dragging him to training. England and France would be fighting as usual, with America cheering them on and Canada forgotten. I would be trying to fix their problems only to get myself in trouble.

29) You dream further and see that 2 [China] is envious of 7 [England] and wants to stab him? Your reaction?
I'm not surprised since those China and England don't get along. If I had been taken to the Opium Wars in the dream, then a scene like this is very possible. If I see any stabbing about to take place, I would scream out of fear and ask for the reason.

30) You wake up from your nightmare and look at your clock. It is 1 A.M. You notice that someone is laying beside you, it is 1 [France]. How will you react? (If you don't push 1 [France] out of your bed, he/she will hum for you until you fall back asleep )
I would be screaming out of fear and shock, and ask him how and why he is there. Then I would call the police and remind him that he said he wouldn't get into my property without permission. He would probably apologize and help me wash my bedding. I don't think I would be able to go back to sleep if I found someone in my bed. In other words, no song will work.

NOTES:
-I've noticed quite a few questions involve characters in my place without my permission, and here is my answer to all of them: That wouldn't happen because I lock my doors. If there were people in my place without my permission, that means they've broken in, so I would call the police. My answers for those questions are based on characters being at my place by humanly impossible ways.
-Before reading the question, I thought this survey was just about Hetalia characters at a world conference. I didn't know I would be the one at a world conference. My answers to the questions about the world conference would be: There is no way I would be at a world conference. If I get asked to go to one, I would think there is a big mistake because I'm not even part of any government. I'm a history and politics idiot. My answers are based on ways that are impossible in real life.
-Sorry if my responses were boring, wrong, or offensive. I am not creative. I also have high morals and values, so I don't think, read, or write about nasty and improper things. I didn't like how some of the characters got parts where they were OOC. That is insulting to them.

About "Don't Hug Me I'm Scared"

Near the end of January 2014, I learned about the videos of Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared by Becky Sloan and Joseph Pelling so I decided to see what they were about. I found them weird, with some parts not making much sense. Many people said it was scary, but I felt annoyed and grossed out instead.

Since then, I’ve read and watched many interesting explanations regarding the video content, but I still don’t get the title. Which characters are scared and getting hugs?

Redd Fawkes explained some good and interesting interpretations of the title and content in his video, which I found to be scary.

However, it was weird, and I didn’t really agree, so I still don’t get what the title is about.

Actually, this survey is very biased and subjective, and messed up. For example, several of those things are necessities, especially for adults. The parts about having more people has many mistakes. How Relatable Hetalia Characters Really Are

Italy Veneziano: You always have that urge to smile and to be happy, no matter what happens and no matter who you're around. If something sad or scary happens, you'll cry, but you just need someone else to be there for a little while, and you'll be smiling again in no time. But, when you're alone, that's the time when you can let your guard down and let your smile disappear. Because, even though you hate to admit it, it's a mask, more than some of the time.

Germany: Emotions are difficult to express in just the right way. If you want to express yourself or say how you feel, it's incredibly hard to do so. However, that doesn't mean the feelings don't exist. They're there; they just need a lot of coaxing to come out. And usually, that coaxing comes from your closest friends and most trusted people.

Japan: If you've spent so much time alone and isolated, it's hard to get back together and associated with society. People can come off as being intimidating or overly-affectionate or whatever, but in the end, they all mean well - it just takes time for you to realize this. Russia: Outer appearances say a lot about us as first impressions. However, once the initial impressions are gone, sometimes the outer appearance can reveal more than was first expected. Someone intimidating can be soft, someone soft can be intimidating, etc. First impressions should never be the ones you form your opinions on.

Canada: Even the quiet ones can have something to say. And it's usually those who have the very best and very most life-changing ideas. They cause revolutions, they cause changes for the better, they can improve the earth around them, but they're also stuck inside their little heads, waiting patiently for a chance to slip out. But they don't deserve to be ignored. The quietest ones have the loudest thoughts.

Harry Potter Day at Disneyland

I hadn't planned on participating in the scavenger hunt for Harry Potter Day at Disneyland on November 4, 2012, but got talked into it. They had a plot focused on Yensids School of Sorcery and Necromancy, a wizarding school in America.

I was randomly sorted into Rickett House, and we met in the same location as Dashwood. The other two Houses, Willowdell and Grizcom, met at a different location. We had to find staff members who were dressed as Harry Potter characters and answer two questions from them. The correct answer on the first question earned us a clue to the solution of the problem. The second questions were hard, and the prize was a galleon. Locating the staff members themselves were difficult, and the clues were vague.

I think another purpose of the game was to have us explore the theme park. I also met Farquetto and her friends. We had to turn in our materials by 6:30 P.M., but I didn't stay until 8:00 P.M. when they reveled the answers to the riddles.

Hetalia Day 2012

I picked up Thehappycat, her daughter, and some other friends before we headed for Anthony C. Beilenson Park in Van Nuys. Beginning in 2009, Hetalia fans made United Nations Day Hetalia Day, but due to October 24 being a weekday in 2012, we had it on Saturday, October 20. It sprinkled on and off, and the sun refused to shine. Fortunately, the drive was quick.

Hetalia Day was fun again like last year, and we met many new people. We had potluck, games, and photo shoots. Someone even brought her cute dog who cosplayed Italy. I just wore my usual casual makeshift Taiwan costume. They also held a costume contest with prizes. As for food, we ended up with too much leftovers.

The sun did try to peek at times, but failed. We hit some traffic in downtown LA on the way back, and I dropped everyone off before returning to my apartment.

I never thought I would be interested in an anime based on history, but to my surprise I got into Hetalia in July 2011. Now after over an year, I find myself still obsessed with it, which is bad because it has distracted me from important things. Well, I can't say that because before watching Hetalia, I was also obsessed and distracted by other anime, game, and fictional series. Many people said that Hetalia got them interested in history, which led to good grades, which is a good thing. Unfortunately, I'm still not interested in history though I've looked up some historical topics and learned more general history than I did in school. Well, one good thing did happen for me: it helped me appreciate other countries more.

Hetalia Gathering at Little Tokyo

I couldn't sleep so I got up and got on the computer for awhile before putting on my Taiwan costume and heading for Little Tokyo at downtown Los Angeles. Our group, Hetalians United, was holding a gathering there on Saturday, September 8, 2012.

We moved around quite a bit, but was mostly at Weller's Court. We took pictures and celebrated a friend's birthday. People came up with many stupid Hetalia pairings for photos. An America cosplayer, who was in the army for three years gave speeches and apologies to some countries regarding the historical truths, which were terrible. It made people sick and teary. We then hung out some more to cheer up, then slowly left.

Anime Expo 2012

Anime Expo (AX) 2012 began at the end of June this year instead of July probably due to the calendar, so the 4th of July wasn't included in any of the days. This year, they also held the X-Games in the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC) area, so it was chaos.

Day 1 - Friday, June 29

I arrived at LACC a little before 10:00 A.M. Fortunately, the line wasn't as long as it was last year though it was still hot outside. However, I stood in the line for about three hours to get a ticket for the AMV Contest.

I visited the Exhibit Hall and got my picture taken for Rage of Bahamut trading cards. unfortunately, the photos turned out stupid.

I had to leave the Exhibit Hall for the Pokemon Cosplay Gathering at 4:00 P.M. Fortunately, trees provided shade and the stairs made it easier to take pictures. We didn't have as many Pokemon cosplayers as previous years. It was the same with the Hetalia Cosplay Gathering, which took place soon after 5:00 P.M. Still, for both gatherings, we had more cosplayers than at AM².

I had dinner at the nearby Denny's. Because of the X-Games at the Staples Center, we had to take some slight detours. Some of the X-games attendees were so rude and improper, making me feel unsafe. I returned to the LACC to line up for the AMV Contest, my first AX Main Event.

I didn't know any of the songs or most of the anime used for the videos, so it was hard for me to vote. Besides, they all look great, making it impossible to decide a winner. The music was too loud as well, and it was late. That's why I left early.

Day 2 - Saturday, June 30

Construction and traffic made me late for the Final Fantasy Cosplay Gathering. Even worse, information on the time and location were unclear. By the time I arrived outside of the South Hall at LACC it was almost over.

After taking some pictures, I headed for the Exhibit Hall which was very crowded. I had my picture taken by CrunchyRoll, then left for the panel, Learn How to Use Vocaloid Software with a Yamaha Vocaloid Developer. The line was long, and they had to cancel it because the previous panel went over time. Instead, they just showed some Vocaloid videos. I found this unfair and a waste of time.

I wandered the Exhibit Hall again as well as half of Artist Alley, and bought some anime-themed soap. The second Hetalia Cosplay Gathering began at 5:00 P.M. We had more people and characters today, but my camera's battery started to die less than halfway through. The camera failed after I switched to the spare one, so I missed many good pictures. It decided to work again when it was too late.

I recharged and tested my camera batteries when I returned to my apartment. The problem appeared to be in the battery compartment. I think the connection between the battery and camera is weakening.

Day 3 - Sunday, Canada Day

I arrived at LACC for the 2nd FF Cosplay Gathering. Not as many people as the previous years showed up, but I didn't mind. This was also the first time I went to a cosplay gathering held indoors.

I decided to forget about Origami Workshop after seeing how things have changed: more people and rotation. The tables were full, and many people were waiting for their turn. Since last year the time for Origami Workshops have decreased.

I continued where I left off yesterday in Artist Alley, then headed for Final Fantasy 2.0 It was interesting learning more about the behind-the-scenes and production history of that game series, but we didn't have enough time to cover everything planned. Some of the information was nostalgic.

I finished exploring the Exhibit Hall and Artist Alley before the Naruto Shippuuden: Dreamers Fight - Live Action Film Premiere panel. Last year, Thousand Pounds Action Company showed the first half of the Naruto vs. Rock Lee video, and they have now completed the seconds part, so we got to see the whole thing this time. It was basically fighting, and the ending was inconclusive.

I left for the third Hetalia Cosplay Gathering at 6:00 P.M. Once again many people showed up, and we had more different characters today. We also celebrated Canada Day as well as Spain's victory over Italy in the UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) European Football Championship or Euro 2012.

The three days flew by fast. I couldn't attend Day 4 because of work. We also were not happy about the X-Games getting in the way and causing inconvenience. They should have held that another time.

Anime, Manga, and Music to a Higher Power 2012

I didn't hear about Anime, Manga, and Music to a Higher Power (AM²) at the Anaheim Convention Center (ACC) in 2011 until it was too late. What's worse was that it conflicted with Anime Expo (AX). Fortunately, AM² 2012 took place in the middle of June instead of the end or in July. For all three days, I picked up a friend on my way there and back.

Friday, June 15

We mostly just walked around, met friend and new people, and took pictures. It seemed as if we arrived too early, but we were unsure of things. We spent most of the time in the Exhibit Hall and Artist Alley after they opened at noon. Unfortunately, none of the panels or events were interesting, so we left early.

Saturday, June 16

We met up with friends when we at the ACC. After hanging out, we attended the HetaStuck Dating Game, which consisted of cosplayers for Hetalia and Homestuck. It was funny, and I was glad to have attended it though I'm not interested in Homestuck.

We had a Hetalia Cosplay Gathering at 2:00 P.M. To our surprise, we didn't have cosplayers for America or Russia, and only one for England. these characters are usually the most popular. I pretty much just wore dressier mornal clothes for Taiwan: a pink shirt with unbuttoned sleeves, knee-length white skirt, reddish-brown dress shoes, and pink flower hair clip.

After the gathering, we hung out, and I wandered the Exhibit hall again. I had some pictures taken for my costumes. The Pokemon Cosplay Gathering was at 4:00 P.M. I just put on my white coat with a Pokeball nametag and took off my flower clip to cosplay a random Pokemon professor. The Pokedex was my DS with a Pokedex design taped on it, and I had bought a plastic Pokeball a few months ago. We didn't have many people either, but not many people attended AM². I met back up with my friend, and we hung out some more before leaving.

Sunday, Father's Day

I had some things to take care of after dropping off my friend at the ACC. I returned later for Hetalia Cosplay Gathering. Once again, not many people showed up. Fortunately, I also brought along my Pokemon professor costume because right after, someone was videotaping cosplayers for a Pokemon rap. Before and after the gathering, I wandered the Exhibit Hall, but there was nothing to buy, especially with everything so expensive.

Unfortunately, we were never able to find an America or England cosplayer for the Hetalia: Ask a Nation panel at 2:00 P.M. though we managed to find a Russia one yesterday. What an irony: those three are usually the easiest to find. Even worse, one of the panel member's car overheated, so our Germany and Italy cosplayers couldn't show up. This meant we didn't have half the main characters. Still, they managed to make it work, and it was fun.

We had trouble leaving the ACC area due to crowds and heavy traffic. Almost everywhere was unreasonably crowded. I then heard that it was due to Father's Day, graduation, and the opening of Cars Land at Disney's CA Adventure.

Though AM² was interesting, I didn't find it to be as fun as the other anime conventions I attended. I guess it wasn't well developed yet due to it only being the second year. At least it was free, but I still had to pay for parking. Starting next year, they will start charging people.

WonderCon 2012

NOTE: I know this is way too overdue, but I've been busy and unable to write about it.

Since WonderCon 2012 was held at the Anaheim Convention Center (ACC) instead of Northern CA, I decided to check it out. Due to it being run by the same company as Comic-Con International, I was a little anxious about attending. Fortunately, WonderCon wasn't as big or crowded, and the people weren't as rude.

Day 1 - Friday, March 16

I picked up my badge and WonderCon booklet then did some exploring. I attended the panel, TheOneRing.Net Hobbit Movie Insider's Preview, which was interesting and informative. They announced splitting the book into two movies to add materials from the Lord of the Rings Appendices. They should have made The Hobbit first since it takes place before LOTR.

I wandered the Exhibit Hall, then went to try out the free food provided at the Bandai Games trailer in promotion of their new Naruto game. It was then time for Famous TV Theme Music, which I left about halfway through.

Day 2 - Saturday, St. Patrick's Day

The
traffic was terrible, and I ended up having to park at a far Disneyland lot, then walk down the street in the rain. That's why I missed the first half of Womanthology. I like how the women created comics for charity, but I'm not sure if the stories are interesting. Next was the panel, Where Do Ideas Come From? Most of what Barbara Randall Kesel said, I already knew, but she did bring up some good points.

I finally got a chance to see the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. They changed some things from the cartoon series, but it was still cute and funny.

I met a friend on the way to Geek Slant: How the East Meets West. The panel wasn't what I expected, but still informative. Afterwards, we met with a friend of my friend. I wandered the Exhibit Hall again, then left to find that the rain had stopped.

Day 3 - Friday, March 18

I arrived late afternoon and quickly stopped by the Exhibit Hall before hurrying to the panel, Namco Bandai Games Celebrates Naruto Shippuuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations. Urian Brown (host, Hiroshi Matsuyama (creator at CyberConnect2), and a few others talked about the game, then had the semifinalists of the game tournament play. The runner-up received some prizes, and the winner proceeded to beat Matsuyama and earn many prizes. Finally, we filled out a survey and received a free copy of the game as we left WonderCon.

The three days flew by fast. Though I enjoyed it, I don't plan to return in the future because I didn't find it as interesting as AX or ALA.

Tortion Follows Sassy

In September 2012, I had to take my cream and white male hamster, Tortion, in for sudden hair loss. The vet gave him shots for mites, and his fur gradually grew back.

On Sunday, November 4, 2012, I noticed the hamster with a swollen face, so I took him to the vet along with Sassy. He had also been drinking and losing much water for awhile. At the vet, we eventually saw that Tortion's whole body was swollen. The vet gave him a shot and prescribed medicine for his eyes. He also said the hamster probably had kidney problems.

Tortion's swelling went down, and I applied the medicine everyday as instructed. On Thanksgiving Day, I realized that Tortion had lost much heat and was barely moving, so I knew he was near his end, which happened the next day. He had been with me for about 21 months.

Sassy's Last Days

On Sunday, November 4, 2012, I noticed my cream female hamster, Sassy breathing rapidly. Recalling the same symptom in past hamsters, I suspected pneumonia, and that is what the vet diagnosed, too. I've been giving her antibiotics everyday as instructed, but today, I found her still and not breathing, which meant death. I had her for about 18 months.

Since Halloween is coming up, I wanted to post a survey on trick-or-treating and candy. What do you think about the candy you get on Halloween?

1. Snickers: I liked them when I was a child.
2. Milky Way: I sometimes ate them.
3. Reese's cups: I liked them.
4. Reese's pieces: I didn't like them.
5. M&M's: These were one of the the ones I liked.
6. Peanut M&M's: I didn't really like them as much as the plain ones.
