 | After last update, my Switch 2 arrived literally the next day so I immediately bought Pokopia and since then, I legit have not stopped playing it every day to the point that I've pulled all nighters because I don't know how I kill so much time in game... which means I sleep for the entire day when I *do* go to bed, which also happened today so when I woke up, it was already 10 pm haha... So as you can see, while it's not a great reason, that's why the update is late again this week! I can only apologize for this and all the delays recently especially after changing the update schedule because I thought it'd work better for me, but unfortunately I cannot promise it won't happen again... However, I think without Pokopia, Mondays would still work best for me (and if not that then Wednesday or Thursday) so I'm going to keep sticking with this schedule and just try to do better so I'm not as late as often! That said, even if I'm late, I will always make sure to post an update unless otherwise stated but I also apologize if it's at awkward times for many of you ;; Late nights are just what work best for me considering my terrible sleep schedule and habits but ultimately, if I want to keep running this TCG without getting burned out and such, I've been trying to not force myself and make everything a chore - which does mean things will be a little inconsistent and sporadic as I work best when I'm in the right mood or headspace for something! I'm sorry to yap about all this first thing! I don't know if I conveyed myself well but I just want to say I'm trying my best in ways that work for me so I can enjoy running SPARKLING! even if it's not standard or the norm for what people expect from a TCG, and I'd appreciate everyone's understanding if things aren't as quick as you'd like! I'll always try to communicate though, and let you all know when something is changing, delayed, etc. ANYWAYS! It's time to get on to the actual update stuff ya'll look forward to now that I'm done talking about myself lmao SITE MILESTONESI lowkey forgot it was Easter but here's a milestone to celebrate because I love bunnies! There's also one for us reaching 400 decks with today's release! Both of these won't expire but you can only grab them if you joined before/by today.  ev-easter2026, ev-400decks TCG NEWSAfter the monthly update, I noticed the wish I granted for double rewards on the monthly games (National Tour set) disappeared on its own some time after the 1st and as a result, anyone playing the games after then would not have received doubled rewards (or only received partial doubled rewards).To explain what happened from my understanding (which may not be 100% accurate or as intended by the original script creator), all wishes when granted are assigned the same date as when the update was posted an the way site games are coded is that it will give you a doubled reward if the script sees that the following conditions are met: there's a wish in the database that is both labelled as "Granted" and shares the same date as the recent update, and the game set that the game is part of is listed as being updated on that same date. However, somehow the date of when the wish was granted was changed on its own (don't ask me how or why; it has something to do with the coding/script itself but I'm not sure how to fix this or where to even look) from the 1st to the 4th (which was Saturday, the original update day I had set for SPARKLING! but had since changed to Mondays). Obviously, there was no update that day because I'm no longer updating on Saturdays so I assume the script saw that since there was no update on the 4th then it stopped giving out double rewards. Now that brings me to what some of you have reported to me after I asked about it on Discord: some players played the monthly games on the 2nd - 4th but only their currency was doubled. After looking at the affected games' codes, I saw they were missing the codes that doubles the cards (but the files did have the code that doubles currency) which I'm not sure how that even happened since they weren't part of the coding that I would've edited in the past?? Thankfully, this was an easier fix so anyone playing the monthly games going forward shouldn't have this problem, and I will also periodically double check the granted wish's date to make sure the doubled rewards is in effect for the entirety of April! To summarize for those curious/wanted to know why this all happened:
WITH ALL THAT SAID (or if you skipped the explanation, which is fair!), if this issue affected you then please use the new Incomplete Rewards Error form in the Error Reporting (Profiles & Custom Graphics) thread to request your correct/remaining rewards - which you'll notice has been updated in name as well, to reflect this addition. Once we verify you did play the affected games by checking your site logs, we'll send you the remaining rewards you're owed! You may also use this form to request rewards for anything missing or incomplete in the future as well, but only if it's something that requires admin/staff approval where we need to send you it manually; the original Error Reporting (Rewards) thread should still be used for self-made errors such as incorrect choice card requests from games/services/activities or changing release pulls because that's a self-serve thread with no admin/staff moderation besides periodic checks. GAME UPDATESThank you to everyone who donated to last month's Collab Stage round! I'm probably late with the new round because I assume the deck was filled on the 1st or 2nd but the new theme is open now!! As mentioned on the game page, this month we're making a Spring deck so think: spring backgrounds/scenery, activities like cherry blossom viewings or picnics among flowers, rainy days, and anything else that displays a spring atmosphere.Please DO NOT submit an image that is just a generic flower theme however, as that will be next month's theme since flowers don't necessarily always mean spring; we want to focus on other aspects of spring aside from just flowers for this month's round! If necessary, I may contact you to ask for an image replacement if I feel your image is too general/not spring-y enough but you will not lose your spot in the deck unless you don't submit a new image at all. There's also a new Your Idol round up as well! Apologies for the delay on this, I completely forgot the round closed this past Saturday lmao... I don't know why I thought it was closing this coming Saturday instead?? Anyways, results for Round 6 can be found here and I believe Dhee has sent rewards for that already!  | The weather has been crazy where I live so I finally experienced allergies(?) for once and it was not fun lol Then I had to go outside in pouring rain and thunder because my delivery was dropped off at the house across the street from mine the other day. And today I found out my Switch 2 delivery has been delayed because of said weather so! I've been having a GREAT week so far as you can see :') I will keep pushing on though, as I will with this update too... so let's get to it shall we? SITE MILESTONESJust one for today to welcome in the new month!
