SPANL needs your help to keep the shelves stocked for our single parent families.

SPANL is seeking non-expired foods, non-perishable food, as well as fresh & frozen food items. 

See chart below for all types of donations SPANL’s Food Bank accepts.

You can drop off  donations to 472 Logy Bay Road  Monday to Friday 9:00am-4:00pm

Each year, the people of Newfoundland and Labrador amaze us with their generosity and support, by organizing events and activities to raise money for single parent families. Whether you are leading an individual or family fundraiser, a workplace or community group, or school or daycare, your commitment helps empower single parent families have hope and courage for a brighter future.

Here are a number of ideas to help you plan your fundraising initiative.

• School Supply Drive
• Theme Day in your School or Office (jeans, crazy hat, 80’s, etc.)
• Recycling Collection
• Tournament (softball, hockey, golf, darts, etc.)
• Ticket Raffle (quilts, gift cards, 50/50, etc.)
• Flea Market/Garage Sale
• Bake Sale/Lemonade Stand
• Marathon (walk, awake, run, dance, etc.)
• Concert/Show

Once you are ready to start a fundraising project in support of the Single Parent Association of Newfoundland and Labrador in your community, we ask that you register your individual- or family-led, office, community group, daycare or school’s fundraising campaign with SPANL to ensure that you receive the full benefit of partnering with us.

Tribute Donation

Giving a gift to honour someone special in your life is a powerful tribute and a meaningful way to make a difference at the Single Parent Association of Newfoundland and Labrador. After making a donation in honour of a friend or family member, your loved one will receive a card assuring them your gift will help make the difference in the lives of single parent families.

In Memory Donation

Sometimes finding just the right way to express your feelings can be difficult.  A gift in memory of a loved one, friend or colleague is a unique expression of your connection with them.

An acknowledgement of your gift will be sent to the person you designate. The actual amount of the gift will not be disclosed.

Donating Stocks & Mutual Funds

Donating stocks and securities to the Single Parent Association of Newfoundland and Labrador is a simple and easy way to make an impact. Plus, it eliminates the capital gains tax you’d have to pay if you sold the securities and you get a charitable tax receipt for the donation. You can donate now or as part of your estate and will planning.
