I've been playing the Assassin's Creed games. Here's what I think so far.

Assassin's Creed: Just started it. Camera sucks. Hate hate HATE Altair's voice.

Assassin's Creed II: Managed to get all the Trophies (Yay!). The voice acting is amazing. The research that went into this game is incredible. Leonardo is mah bess frend.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood: Might as well be Assassin's Creed II: Part II. Still has the same amazing voice work and detail as ACII. I finally managed to get all the unlockables, but what's the point when the main story is done?

Assassin's Creed: Revelations: Haven't gotten too far into this yet. The interface feels more like the first game, but better. The graphics are fugly. Everyone looks like they're dirty with glowing eyes. Desmond doesn't look anything like he did in the last 3 games. I was psyched I recognized John DeLancie's voice. I'm wondering how sad the story is going to be. I've been following Ezio since he was 17 (since birth, actually) and he starts the game in his late 40s/early 50s.

The only gripe I have is when I'm having to do a frantic chase or something and the game decides, "I forgot how to work. Going to Mars. Good luck!" and I end up tackling or killing someone random or just jump in the completely wrong direction. Also, I'm hoping to finish AC quickly. It doesn't seem to have the stupid game-lengthening gimmick of Get-All-The-Things!

I can't wait for ACIII. I hope they put as much attention into the history as they did in ACII and ACB.

I'm sure I could have written this better, but I just need to get it out of my brain for now.

My throat infection turned out to be nothing, but it looks like I got some sort of stomach bug. I’ll spare you the TMI.

As I mentioned, I finished The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. I really don’t know what to say about it because I don’t want to give any spoilers and I don’t know what to say that won’t give any spoilers. I really like the character of Lisbeth Salander. She’s likeable enough and realistically flawed. I guess I can say the same about Mikael Blomkvist. I want to see the Swedish movies and I can’t wait to see what David Fincher does with it this December.

One thing I hate about having emotional problems is its invisibility. One day a few weeks ago, I was having serious issues. I was drained and having a hard time thinking. It felt like my soul was bleeding out and I kept thinking, “Isn’t it obvious to anyone how fucked-up I am tonight? How can anyone not see how barely functional I am?”

I happened to be hanging a mirror on the mirror isle and I took a good look at myself. I was amazed that I looked perfectly normal. I expected to see myself looking as bad as I felt, but that’s the thing. If I had a broken arm or a bleeding wound or even a bad cold, it would be obvious to anyone that something was wrong.

I think that people who don’t suffer from some kind of emotional disorder just don’t get it. I think too many times I and others with emotional disorders are just chalked-up as being lazy or flakes. I wish there was some way to make people understand that being emotionally screwed-up is a real thing and not just someone being a goldbricker.

I finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I liked it a lot. It's a twisted and disturbing story. At one point, I couldn't put the book down until I had gone cross-eyed from staying up too late reading. The original Swedish title, Men Who Hate Women is much more appropriate.

I don't know what to say that hasn't been said better by other reviewers. Go read it.

I'm using the internet at the Nathan Hale library near the house. I haven't been here since high school. It's not too bad. The only thing that bugs me is trying to figure out how all the online stuff works. They have their own system, but they also have a thing called "Encore". It looks like I can check out digital audio books and e-books, but I don't know how that works.

As soon as iTunes is done updating, I'm going to have someone show me WTF is going on.
