But after accidentally seeing his college roommate naked, his straightness comes into serious question. As for Jared, what is a gay boy supposed to do when someone as hot as Jensen decides to experiment with him? Definitely not fall in love.

I rec’d this last year, but as it was finished this year I’m cheating and including it again. Quite simply the best J2 fic I’ve ever read, absolutely heartbreaking at times. Put a weekend or a week aside and read.

This wasn’t written for me, but it could’ve been, it hits all my favourite things so perfectly. Older, somewhat grumpy Jensen who is enchanted by rayofsunshine!Jared is probably my all time favourite J2 fic trope, and coupled with an excellent plot and steaming hot sex, it makes this a last-minute must-read addition to this year’s list.

At the beginning of junior year, though, Dean stops by unexpectedly after a hunt, then just…keeps dropping by, for one reason or another.

Now Sam’s got to deal with hiding his feelings for his (mercifully) oblivious brother, all his friends think Dean’s his boyfriend, he’s overdue on a paper and hasn't started studying for finals, there may or may not be a poltergeist in the basement rec room, and, oh yeah, Dean found that damn T-shirt he’s had under his pillow for close on three years now.

And he’d thought college life would be simple.

I think we all need Stanford fix-it fics occasionally, and this one is so well written its a delight.

I loved this so much. It was so beautifully written and evocative, and the lore/scenario Alula created for this was wonderful. Don’t let the warnings put you off - this is a beautiful fic.

Again, maybe I’m biased because this was written for me. But seriously, model-chesters and case-fic? I was spoiled :)

I started writing this over a year ago, when the first flashback just poured out of me. I'm so glad its finally done, and that I managed to pull off the most complicated thing I've written yet (hopefully).
