HELLO DAJIA HAO. Long time no see, right? It's been a really busy semester and I just haven't even thought of updating this thing. Twitter is so much easier rofl. But it's all but over now! I've only got one exam next week left and then Daddy is picking me up Wednesday :D And when I get home I'll have a shiny new laptop waiting for me~ This little thing has lasted me over three years and I've run it through the mill lmao it is time for it to retire for sure. I HAVE STRAIGHT A'S!!!!!!!!!
Since I had to send in a midterm grade report to Binghamton, today I went and had my teachers write my grades on the form~ I have an 88 (which is a B+) in Lit but my teacher put an A on my report because my bad test weighs more than it should right now and I'm only 2 points off :D My history teacher wrote two A's on the form without even looking at anything lmao
this means all that stress I was under is GONE *A*
I also inherited/somewhat stole my brother's old (but brand new?) blackberry that he had to send back to my mom :3 Which means I have a new number (for now lol) and BBM! Let me know if you would like these things :3
I have finished Dream High and fryegeuqin what was that ending even D: D: D: now I am watching My Princess and I like it a lot~! I keep wanting to bash Seol and Haeyoung's heads together D:<

I have one half-brother named Billy. He's seven years older than me (so, 27) and has two daughters from two different girls. I don't really know what to say about him since we don't really get along and he's kind of a huge asshole.

I wore this dress, my blue stripped hoodie I wear basically every day, tights, and my pea coat cause it was cold out D: Also I had my hair in a little pony tail my cousin said makes me look like a mental patient.

I don't think my religious or political beliefs aren't important—the fact I haven't set foot in a synagogue since i was 11 doesn't make me a worse person than if I had gone every week. I believe people are what they are, human beings with flaws and insecurities and thoughts and feelings, and that everyone has the right to happiness. I believe in good food, family, and laughter.

day 07 – your best friend

My bestest friend is Mari/jongwoons even though she doesn't use LJ anymore. I've known her about a year and a half, and we clicked almost instantly–I don't remember ever having that awkward phase most people have. We talk for hours on end every day and just...have fun together. There have been down points, too, but I think they've just ended up bringing us even closer. I love her very very much, my days get better after talking to her for even just a few minutes. :3

day 05 – your definition of love

I don't really know what my definition of love is, really. I know I love falling in love, with anything–a book, a song, the way two colors look next to each other, and maybe even another person. I pretend to be a hopeless romantic but it's because I fall in love easily, but I also fall out of love easily. I don't make attachments easily, but at the same time I'm intensely loyal, but it's not always out of love.

Marriage is a difficult subject since I've never really witnessed a "successful" one. I would love to think that I can be so deeply in love with someone that we spend the rest of our lives together, but knowing myself I doubt it'll happen like that, and I'm ok with this. I don't understand why some kids with divorced parents get so upset about their parents dating or remarrying; my mom started dating other men the year after she divorced my father and I, even as 11/12, was happy for her and enjoyed meeting new people.

day 02 – your first love

My first love aside from music coincides with my first, and only thus far, serious relationship; Hiroshi. While it wasn't love at first sight, I did like him soon after I met him my sophomore year in high school, and spent two years falling in love with him after that. We dated for my senior year and freshman year of college, and it was a good two years. I broke up with him last August after the death of my grandmother and have been single since. :3

This is a meme I would actually like to finish, and I'm going to leave it public unless I say something truly personal that I'm not comfortable with the general creepy public knowing. Perhaps you can learn something about me, if you're interested :3

day 01 - introduce yourself

I guess I'll start with the basics, that's always a good place to start. My name is Jessica and I was born July 9th, 1990, making me 20 years old. My parents divorced when I was 11 and my dad lives in Rochester, New York, where I was born and raised, and my mom lives in Oxford, Mississippi, where I spent my teenage years. I have one older half brother (we have different fathers), 10 first cousins, 3 aunts and 3 uncles (by blood, not marriages). Last August I experienced my first real death with the loss of my maternal grandmother–I still miss her every day.

I only remember vague things about my childhood, so there isn't much to talk about it. I was bullied all through school, probably just because I was an easy target. Despite it I was a reasonably happy child until 6th grade when I went to a private Catholic school. Not going into details (the ones I remember), but it was miserable and I only was there for a year. Seventh grade I was back in public school and was actually very happy there, having made friends for the first time. However 8th grade is when I moved to Mississippi with my mom and her then soon-to-be-husband (now my ex-step father). Ninth grade was most miserable, because being attracted to the same sex in the deep south is a big no-no and it labeled me even more 'different'. Since I needed a lot of help with being different.

Music is basically my entire life; I've played violin since I was 8, was in chorus for several years, and every phase of my life is marked by the music I listened to at the time. I love Dungeons and Dragons (I play a halfling rogue named Mahelin'Il) and Magic the Gathering (blue/black) and I love fantasy novels. I'll basically read anything set in front of me long enough, though–in 5th grade I read every book in my house (except The Green Mile, my mom wouldn't let me because little girls get raped, and instead handed me Night by Elie Weasel. My life hasn't been the same since.) I love animals so much that I'm honestly surprised I have never wanted to be a zoologist or anything of that sort; my true passions are history and languages anyways. I love political history (and loathe military history, but will tolerate social history to a certain extent) and European history, especially from the 1300s until World War II. As far as languages go I have formally taken Latin, French, German and American Sign Language, but I was too young to really remember much ASL.

I'm Jewish but I believe faith is something private and am strongly against organized religion.

I have Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD) as well as ADHD and fight with them every day. The TV shows about hoarding scare the shit out of me because I know that I am capable of falling into that very easily, and more than once I have had nightmares about this very thing. I would rather be dead than live like that.

This is getting painfully long and I'm about to cry because I have too much to say but not the words for it.
