Seeing as the Legion of Monsters is my favorite Marvel group, I was very excited about this comic written by Dennis Hopeless and drawn by Juan Doe. Finally the Legion—Morbius, Werewolf by Night, Manphibian and N'Kantu—had its own mini-series! Reading it, however, proved to be a big disappointment. I tried very hard to like it, but to no avail. It's got nothing to do with the basic story, which is solid. The idea behind it is fine. No, it's got everything to do with the many, many events that go against previously established canon, the bad characterization and the plain unfortunate mistakes. When combined, Legion of Monsters vol. 2 becomes impossible for me to like. ( And here's why.Collapse )
