New MacBook Pro. And finally, home to enjoy it. Now. Only a few little problems.

I DON'T HAVE ANY BSG WALLPAPERS TO DECORATE MY VIBRANT LED DISPLAY!

This is a big issue for me. I need some shiny battlestars and basestars and faces to look at while I'm piddling away my time. SOMEONE PLEASE DIRECT ME TO SOME. I grabbed a bunch from cylonish. There must be more out there! HALP!

Also - happy happy new year! Did everyone have a good time?? I heard there was hand kissing and cat kissing. Sadly, there was no kissing for me. Only fuzzy, blurred memories of a bar..and of walking past our hotel and dancing with bronze statues. Hell of way to ring it in.

I got the complete (BluRay) series of BSG - which I've been waiting for forever. Three seasons of 30ROCK. TGS WITH TRACY JORDAN hoodie! The Betty White biography. A bottle of Disorono Amoretto. The Resident Evil Trilogy box set. A book of Irish history. A new DVD to help me with my bodhran skillz. NEW UGGS!! (SO needed cause my old ones fell apart. Literally.) A Pandora bracelet! Finally! THE JANE SEYMOUR OPEN HEART NECKLACE!!! BECAUSE DR. QUINN MADE IT JUST FOR MEEE!

AND A NEW MACBOOK PRO!!!

The latter is obvs the best. Even though I was my own Santa on that one. DREAMS COME TRUE!

You know how I know? Because I got Monday off for the 3 feet of snow we got dumped on us. And I had just happened to take today off as well. So happy holidays to me - I got 5 days off of work! And what's better? I GET FRIDAY OFF TOO. And we're heading back to Philly to ring in the new year!

But what am I doing now? Hiding from my roomie while she bangs someone downstairs in my living room. And drowning out the sound with The Lovely Bones. Not really working.

I need to make new friends here..

I wish this lj app didn't suck so bad.. Cause then maybe I would use it a lot more instead of disappearing all the time. I got to work a bagillion years early.. And now I'm sitting in the parking lot like a tool, trying not to pay attention to the strange stares :P

In other news, my laptop finally kicked it. MacBook here I come!! Luckily, some poor sod just ordered nearly $400 in prints this weekend, so I'm feelin real good about this purchase :)

Now...to finish Christmas shopping! How did it get to be the week before Christmas already??

WOW. SHOCKING. I neglected my lj. SO out of character...

THings have been mucho busyo. That's Spanish. Black Friday was killer, though my main mission (to find seasons 2&3 of 30 ROCK for $12 like last year) FAILED. They were $40 each. I was devastated. BUt I did get an insane number of video games, which always cheers me up.

ANyone play Naughty Bear? SIckest..most disturbed..most satisfying game I've ever played. Your teddy bear friends didn't invite you to the teddy bear birthday party. So you decide to go give Daddles his birthday present anyway, cause you're just trying to be nice. But the other teddy bears laugh at your present. SO..you throw it in the fire, pick up a baseball bat and exact your revenge. This is why kids are frakked up.

Alright, alright. I've been meaning to post this forever now, but..I'm lazy. And/or never can find time..

OKAY SO BIG APPLE COMIC CON:

I went with my high school chem teacher..cause I'm real cool like that. She's my bffl and she loves BSG and she's a huge nerd, so we love each other. So, we got up wicked early, cause..I was paranoid that I would miss some great adventure if we didn't get there 34637642 hours early. I sped all the way from CT to NY and we got there in seriously, like, 45 minutes. That's a record for me. Bizzle - as I call my former-teacher-now-bffl - was clinging to the dashboard for her life. Sorry, Bizzle.

So, we get there, and there's already this massive line outside. But I was like, yo. It's freezing cold, and I want coffee. So we went to the Borders across the street and sat in front of the huge windows that overlook the streets in front of the hotel where it was being held. AGAIN - SO WE WOULDN'T MISS ADVENTURES. I decided that I REAAALLY didn't want to wait outside in the cold, and figured I already had my tickets, so why do I need to stand in line? Dumb. Little did I know that the line we were looking at WAS for people who already had their tickets. There was a line to pick up your tickets, a line to get your super awesome Mary McDonnell VIP badge, and then a line to get inside. Ouch.

We walked around upstairs for a little bit, but..I was actually like, super disappointed that it was legit all comic books up there. I'm not knocking it. I just know nothing about it. But, after two or three loops around, I finally started digging through stuff and found a sweet BSG waterbottle. LEGIT.

Also found some Star Trek comm badges, but was too ashamed to buy them? IDK why. Now I regret it. Lame.

Anyway, I got all pumped up for my photo op with Mary, so I made Bizzle come with me downstairs like, hella early. Too bad there was ALREADY a huge line for her. I should have known. Whatev, though, cause we made friends with some guy who had a freaking r2d2 that his kids were beating up, dressed as Leia and Annikan. AWESOME AGAIN.

Then Mary was late. And when she showed up, you would have thought that Jesus came back to earth. Everyone went ape shit. It was awesome. Bizzle joined the fangirls and was screaming "OH MY GOODNESS IT'S THE PRESIDENT!" Stop humiliating me, Bizzle.

So, we shuffled through the line, and got up there pretty quick. THIS IS WHERE THINGS GET SHITTY. BUT BY SHITTY I ALSO MEAN AWESOME, CAUSE...IT WAS STILL ME WITH MARY MCDONNELL.

Ok, so Bizzle and I get up there. And she's super sweet and smiley and was like, "Heeey! Where are you guys from?"

Me: "We're from Connecticut."
Mary: "BAHAHAH HAHAH HA!"
Me: -_-
Mary: "I could tell..HAHAHAHHA."
Me: "You can?"
Mary: "It's the cardigan! Gave you away!"
Me: *mumble mumble"

Mary: "Alright! BAHAHAH HAHAH"

Kay, thanks Mary. WHAT I SHOULD HAVE SAID WAS, "HEY, LADY! YOU'RE WEARING ONE TOO!"

I pretend like I'm mad at her for making fun of me..but I'm not. I kind of loved it.

We sat in on the panel, which was awesome and funny...but way too serious. I've only ever been to TWO panels in my whole life, but..damn. Does everyone want to know about her *craft* and her *process*? ALL I WANTED TO KNOW WAS WHERE THE FRAK ROZ MANAGED TO FIND A WIG ON A BATTLESTAR...IN THE MIDDLE OF WAR...AT THE END OF THE WORLDS. WHERE DID IT COME FROM?! My theory: she exploited some Tyllium ship worker..shaved their head and made herself a hair crown. :P jk. But I would like to hear her answer. NEXT TIME!

I am RE-ADDICTED to BSG. someone help. remember the good ol' days, with SciFi posting clues and whatnot. And waiting and waiting for a Laura promo? And scared that they might actually be executing the Admiral? THOSE WERE THE DAYS. BSG will forever make me miss my loft in Philadelphia. It will make me miss walking to stop and shop and buying a cake for FRAKKIN FRIDAYS, sticking my minimates in it, and calling it a themed dessert. Big Bang Marathon cause I can't find Coda :( I'm craving effing lucky charms, but I have no power in my own apartment until (supposedly) November 5th, when roomie's mother moves out. Yup.

Reasons I am NOT happy:

Coda is no longer in my state.
I have to leave for work in 15 minutes.
There is a rotting coffee still sitting on my desk..and now I'm afriad to move it. I think it's actually breathing now..
I suck at making graphics.

Totes trying to order some badass iPhone case with some bsg lovin' on it.. and I suck at it. Real bad. This is all I've come up with so far, and it's shite:

Lame. I NEED HALP. Consider this a shout out request: anyone wanna design me some killer iPhone case for getuncommon.com?? Pwetty pweeeease? Dimensions are 2000px(w) x 3000px(h). I'm seriously about to snag some old wallpaper I saved from ages ago and slap it on there.. that's how desperate I am.

Back in the day when I used livejournal a whopping 10 times in three years, I remembered how to make a cut for all my rambling.. I should probs figure that out again.. at some point. THERE SHOULD BE A SCHOOL OF LIVEJOURNAL. So that I don't have to keep bothering Coda to make me a background, a layout, an emoticon, rubbish.

OKOK. Because it's monday, and I need to maintain my sanity, and I am wearing a sidepony to work today, here are reasons I AM happy it's Monday:

ONLY FOUR MORE DAYS TILL MY LITTLE KIDDIES HAVE THEIR HALLOWEEN PARTY/PARADE AND I GET TO DRESS UP LIKE LEGIT DISNEY WORLD ALICE.

ONLY ONE MORE WEEK (+ 1 day) TILL I GET TO GO BACK TO HARTFORD FOR THE VIP TICKETS TO ANTONY & CLEOPATRA.

AAAAND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, TONIGHT IS REFRAK NIGHT (AGAIN) WITH CODA!
