I saw the first two episodes of series 3 of Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries yesterday (series 3 recently became available on Netflix) and as wonderful as it is to be watching this show again, I have to say,

I’m still waiting for a non-straight character who isn’t either

(a) dead

(b) a criminal

(c) Dr. Mac

(There might maybe be a gay man I’m forgetting, but this is definitely true of the lesbian/bi women.)

Not to mention, I now also know why my Australian acquaintances who watched this months ago were saying they wanted Mac to have more screentime. It seems like she’s not allowed to do anything besides autopsies, at least in these first few episodes.

I didn’t post yesterday. Because I was out of the house, and then spent the evening working.

Oops.

I made it… eight months.

That’s pretty good!

The instructions are very long, strangely organized, and hard to navigate, and it’s neither your fault nor mine that (a) we were looking at different sections, and (b) the instructions say contradictory things in different sections. That’s really, really not our fault.

Stressful day, but things are back on track now. +10 points to mr for making a scary phone call.

The big explanation thing for Sparkly is now ten pages, just over 5,000 words. Each little section sounds okay on its own, I think, so I just hope the whole thing holds together.
